Coronavirus Hysteria

Taiwan has the lowest number of tests per million world wide with only 10 tests, that's why they have no cases. Thailand and China refuse to test, that's why they don't show up at all.

Not sure where you get your news from but CNN, Fox, etc.. are not news channels. They are entertainment. They live on fear mongering, doesn't matter who you support.

If you want legit news that is unbiased, maybe check out NPR, BBC, Reuters, AP are the best ones I can think of. Even then, you still need to read between the lines. Don't just beleive what everyone says point blank. Criticize, analyze and come up with your own conclusion based on multiple reliable sources.

Wear a mask and be safe!

I think you quoted the wrong guy?

There's no such thing as an *unbiased* news organisation. The unseen bias is often what is not reported and never makes it onto the wires. For NPR, maybe others can comment about communism/liberalism. For the BBC, take a look at how they covered up the 'Jim will fix it' scandal. I believe the head honcho for the BBC at that time is now quarter backing for the NYT.

Makes you think.

You read the first sentence and skipped the second one. Sure, nothing is 100% unbias that's why you have to use your best judgment.

Left, Right, center, Up, Down - who gives a shit! We are all humans on one planet.

So I'm on the 44th floor running around in my socks listening to classical music and I see some video about Brian Rose from London Real running for Mayor of London and he's talking about lockdown coming. I'm like damn that sucks... Then I wanted to see how many US states had lockdown - Apparently ALL OF THEM have some form of lockdown except Florida:

faTw1uK.png

This whole time I thought these other states were as open as Florida. I found some interesting stuff:

"We can't have these businesses dying, so they're not going to be able to be closed by locals anymore," Mr. DeSantis said on the eve of the order.

Source: As Covid-19 Surges, Florida Sticks to No Statewide Restrictions

I didn't vote for DeSantis but next time around I'm definitely going to vote for him.

The stories of people losing their businesses coming out of California and now New York - no in-door restaurants and bars. Jeez. I've been going to the gym and this one coffee shop everyday for weeks. I didn't realize Florida was special cause I stopped paying attention to the news.

Some interesting stuff is happen - California is pretty much done:

If the estimates that for every day of lockdown it will take 2 weeks to recover - what happens to places that have been in lockdown for 9 months? The Musk left to Texas. Hewlett-Packard is leaving. Oracle is leaving, Palantir is leaving. (Sauce: From Elon Musk to Oracle — the coronavirus accelerates California exodus) Most of those companies were leaving BEFORE the Corona-rona.

The constant fires don't help. (More: All of California’s Exes are Moving to Texas: The California Exodus) Apparently California really did make crime legal... And WTF is an "exit tax" for 10 years? You can't even leave without being taxed? They're out of control.

New York City is a ghost town now. Carl Icahn left. Goldman Sachs is heading down south to Florida, along with a ton of hi-networth individuals that have been fleeing since Corona-rona:

More: Goldman Sachs, The Long-Time New York City-Based Investment Bank, Is Considering Moving A Big Division To Florida

I understand people are over-sensitive to Corona but - how do people feed their families when they have no income?

In California only 1 out of 1000 people that have applied for unemployment checks have gotten it, it's been a massive mess: Why California’s unemployment system devolved into chaos during pandemic

They are still using COBOL there - remember I told you that if you want to be a programmer and make serious money to learn COBOL? That is a prime example.

So what's the solution? I don't fucking know, but "pausing" the greatest nation on earth, actually in all of history, and think everything will be okay "SOON" isn't smart business. These socialists are going to destroy us, it's no coincidence that the exodus is from Blue States to Red. Don't be planning any more "exodus" to Florida, it's already getting a little too crowded at my gym at 3PM in the afternoon.

I'm still in my socks.

There is a vaccine.
Hysteria is not going down.

New hysteria in the US, and for some reason, it's resulting in problems in my country in Europe. The virtue signaling is too much.

Even vaccinated people have to wear masks, apparently.

I think I'll pass for at least a year before taking a vaccine, maybe never. But at the rate my country is going it'll be 3 years at least so at least that looking good.

But freedom of movement is pretty much gone. Curfews, social "bubbles" of 1 household + 1 person. ONE. 1. one. Ein. Een. Uno. Un.

The person telling us for 3 months that masks only make things worse is now on TV every day (and has been for months) telling us masks are the only thing keeping us alive right now. Health minister is saying the worst is yet to come.

And all is well in the world. We are so LUCKY our politicians are saving us poor dumb people. Don't question it, the news said so!

This seems to be the most sane forum on earth, felt I could vent here for once. On BuSo we disagree, and yes, sometimes attack each-other. But I'm glad most discussion are at least about substance.

I'm going to a protest this week. First time ever. I've had enough.

I'm interested to know how the US with its 243 years of history is the greatest nation in all of history?

America is the place anyone from the bottom can rise up with hardwork. Before America you had to be born into the right class or right family to get ahead. America changed all of that with its frontier attitude.

America invented the phrase: "To Make Money", random peasant nobodies couldn't do that in any other nation until America showed them how.

"You stand in the midst of the greatest achievements of the greatest productive civilization and you wonder why it's crumbling around you, while you're damning its life- blood--money. You look upon money as the savages did before you, and you wonder why the jungle is creeping back to the edge of your cities.

Throughout men's history, money was always seized by looters of one brand or another, whose names changed, but whose method remained the same: to seize wealth by force and to keep the producers bound, demeaned, defamed, deprived of honor. That phrase about the evil of money, which you mouth with such righteous recklessness, comes from a time when wealth was produced by the labor of slaves--slaves who repeated the motions once discovered by somebody's mind and left unimproved for centuries. So long as production was ruled by force, and wealth was obtained by conquest, there was little to conquer, Yet through all the centuries of stagnation and starvation, men exalted the looters, as aristocrats of the sword, as aristocrats of birth, as aristocrats of the bureau, and despised the producers, as slaves, as traders, as shopkeepers--as industrialists.

"To the glory of mankind, there was, for the first and only time in history, a country of money--and I have no higher, more reverent tribute to pay to America, for this means: a country of reason, justice, freedom, production, achievement. For the first time, man's mind and money were set free, and there were no fortunes-by-conquest, but only fortunes-by-work, and instead of swordsmen and slaves, there appeared the real maker of wealth, the greatest worker, the highest type of human being--the self-made man--the American industrialist.

"If you ask me to name the proudest distinction of Americans, I would choose--because it contains all the others--the fact that they were the people who created the phrase 'to make money.' No other language or nation had ever used these words before; men had always thought of wealth as a static quantity--to be seized, begged, inherited, shared, looted or obtained as a favor. Americans were the first to understand that wealth has to be created. The words 'to make money' hold the essence of human morality.

"Yet these were the words for which Americans were denounced by the rotted cultures of the looters' continents. Now the looters' credo has brought you to regard your proudest achievements as a hallmark of shame, your prosperity as guilt, your greatest men, the industrialists, as blackguards, and your magnificent factories as the product and property of muscular labor, the labor of whip-driven slaves, like the pyramids of Egypt. The rotter who simpers that he sees no difference between the power of the dollar and the power of the whip, ought to learn the difference on his own hide-- as, I think, he will.

"Until and unless you discover that money is the root of all good, you ask for your own destruction. When money ceases to be the tool by which men deal with one another, then men become the tools of men. Blood, whips and guns--or dollars. Take your choice-- there is no other--and your time is running out.
" - Francisco d'Anconia

And what happens whenever some country/region/whatever is in trouble? Who do they call? YOU? No. Let's look at the events of Hong Kong:

Have you ever seen a country fly another flag begging for help? No.

I'm getting tired of all you people talking shit about America and then come crying whenever you guys can't figure out your ass from a hole in the wall.

50% of all large successful corporations from Google, Apple, on down are started by immigrants or sons/daughters of 1st generation immigrants.

- Jan Koum, born in Ukraine - creator of WhatsApp
- Jerry Yang, born to Taiwanese immigrants - Founder of Yahoo
- Pierre Omidyar, born in France - founder of eBay
- Sergey Brin, born in Moscow, Co-Founder of Google
- Steve Job's biological father was from Syria, founder of Apple
- Jeff Bezo, son of Cuban Immigrants - Amazon
- Elon Musk, born in South Africa - Tesla, SpaceX, Paypal

Those are just a few that HAD to come to America to explore their full potential. And look at what they created.

People come to America to "Make it" - make what? Money. Money buys you opportunities and luxuries your parents and grandparents could not afford. If you squander that opportunity that's on you.

What other nation on earth is that even possible? To make billions while being immigrants or sons/daughters of immigrants?

And if Neil Armstrong landing on the moon and taking his first steps doesn't send goosebumps through your spine then you simply aren't deserving of America.

You better be careful next time running your mouth about America.

The only thing you other nations should be saying is "Thank You" for bringing you out of your poverty focused mindset and showing you possibilities that were previously unimaginable until America showed you how.

Imagine talking shit about America while buying American products, using America's Internet, and while using America's services to talk shit about America. That's fucking wild.

If you haven't figured it out America is about opportunity. If you squander it, that's on you.

Since you can't articulate in your own words what's wrong with America, all you have to do is go to your retarded video you posted and look at the domain: YouTube.com - where 2 of the 3 founders were immigrants, Jawed Karim born in East Germany and Steve Chen born in Taiwan.

You fucking peasant.

The whole situation is clearly a hoax. I'm ashamed to say I initially bought into it. Shame on me, but lesson learned.

The whole situation is clearly a hoax. I'm ashamed to say I initially bought into it. Shame on me, but lesson learned.

Yes, this whole thing has basically made me stop watching or reading any kind of news. I don't trust anything I read in mainstream news anymore.

It's just surprising to me that the geniuses advising the various governments around the world haven't clued in that lockdowns (in their current state) don't work. Unless a police officer is told to stand outside every door of every house, people will continue going to other people's houses, etc. (which is how the virus is still spreading).

Take where I am in the province of Ontario in Canada for instance. People were close to ending it all when there were 200 cases per. day in March and April. Since masks have been made mandatory, business have been shut down (again), etc. things have gotten worse- not better. We're currently up over 3000 cases per. day and it's just getting worse. What's the solution? Curfews, with nobody to enforce them, apparently.

Either fine people $10,000 if they leave their house or end the lockdowns- enough of this "in between" stuff that's been getting us nowhere for half a year or more now.

Leaving the population in limbo seems more suspicious to me than literally locking people inside their houses for a few weeks. I mean, do these people (governments) want the virus to go away or not? It's been "hanging around" now for almost a year.

Maybe you know this, but left it out for brevity..

But the logic here is that this spreads because people go out and do things. That staying home is the answer.

However, lets pretend I stay home 100% and never leave my house...

We don't know if a lot of this is spreading maybe via Postal Mail or Amazon boxes. Someone is touching these products in the boxes, the product in the product box itself even. Someone is touching the shipping label or the envelope.

Someone is touching your food when it is prepared and delivered. It is sitting in a car with someone else being delivered. Someone is touching it when it gets brought into the grocery and put on a shelf or bagged. My contactless delivery with Dominos.. the guy gets out and puts it on my porch and within 3 seconds I walk out and touch it and bring it in, then eat it. There could have been 3-4 people touch my pizza, breathed on it, or touched the box before it got to me.

Sure you could say "such and such said this and or that and that it doesn't linger and needs a host..."

Also, think about this...

If wearing a mask is SOOOO safe and staying 6 feet apart was also SOOOO safe, then why are we "getting COVID" and numbers increasing daily when EVERYWHERE I go, I see people with masks on and standing 6 feet apart? If these measures are effective, shouldn't numbers be going down?

If it comes down to rubbing hand sanitizer on your hands ( that shit is everywhere you go ) and wearing masks, and social distancing... then numbers should be going down as we all go out. But the truth is, these things are not working.

EVERYONE is wearing a mask and staying 6 feet apart unless they are in their cars and private homes. Everyone is sanitizing things as you walk into a store or touch a key pad.

Seems like to me masks and 6ft distancing is worthless and we were feed a bunch of lies about having to do these things.

OR, all of that ( and all of this ) is false. Like in, All the information you are getting is false to begin with.

Maybe it has helped "slow it down", but what good is that if numbers keep going up and giving the virus time to "change". If we are allowing more time to pass where people have no jobs and no economy?

And now this thing is mutating into different strains.

You think we gonna put up with this for another 12 months? Staying inside and losing jobs and having to eat fast food pizza? Not being able to see loved ones or travel?

yeah, good luck with that.

This has ZERO to do with people leaving their homes and going outside though.

The virus spreads indoors with people sitting around dinner tables. It's quite obvious to me.

All attempts at slowing the virus down fails, because people don't get infected in shopping malls or in the street, they get infected while talking, laughing, shouting, with people in close proximity.

I agree with the things you've said- there have been studies showing that only certain types of masks are actually effective at blocking droplets (or maybe the mask companies paid some authority figures to say this, who knows). Funnily enough, the mask I've been wearing (mind you, I've only left the house 4 times since June) is one of the worst ones, but I'm not dead yet.

I'm of the opinion that those in charge (governments, etc.) determined that the best course of action was to buy time until a vaccine was developed, but I think they missed the part about vaccines needing to be created using materials that aren't available 24/7 in unlimited quantities. So, now we're faced with a situation where the so-called saviour vaccine isn't even available for people to get.

In regards to another year of this, as I said, they'll need to station police officers outside every door of every house if they want people to stay home. They'll also need to introduce $10,000+ fines for people that go anywhere non-essential. I can't imagine they'd do this though- that would cause protests and riots around the world (I don't support this btw).

We'll look back on this in a few years and be sickened by the lack of leadership inside governments around the world. We'll also laugh about the fact that those leaders that did show leadership were demonized because their preferred course of action (while sane) wasn't what certain people in certain positions of power and organizations wanted.

The idea of locking people inside with draconian measures is not what I would call leadership.

I think that would lead to countries burning. Maybe some could manage, but those are not the countries I would want to live in.

Where did i talk shit about America? Please pinpoint that for me.

I was simply asking your opinion and arguments to support your claim. The video was also an illustration of some points where I would have loved your insight and was nowhere near an illustration of my own opinion. Instead you insult me and threaten me... What a great display of open mindness and intelligence.

Let it be known for the record that I love the United States.

Don't bother answering, I won't be returning to your dictatorial forum, as a peasant, I have better things to do, like voting for Trump

No one cares about you or your feelings. You inferred that America isn't the greatest nation in all of history with that question, I handled that.

Adios, Motherfucker.

We need more lions in the world, none of this side-talking shit, where you are pussyfooting around with words.

You people are really lost in some echo chamber and seem to have zero clue what's going on. I mean what's really going on out here, in the real trenches.

Of all the money printed in the USA history, 21% of that volume will be printed in 2021 alone (before Slow Joe starts his fiasco).

You guys don't have to be mathematically geniuses to see what's wrong:

Why is this critical? The money is going into the pockets of people and corporations that take on loans/debt - at extremely low interest rates. The banks were already forcing money down people's throats at the beginning last year BEFORE COVID. Now it's even worse, you walk in ask for $1 million, they try to give you $8 million. Why? They've got too much money.

So what people are doing is simply taking the money, buying real estate (paying no taxes on those transactions), or buying businesses, - the rich getting richer, the poor get poorer, and the middle never really existed in the first place.

The poor grunt workers don't see any of that new money supply, but within the next several years prices are going to go through the roof for those poor saps at the bottom of the pyramid.

Why? How?

Let say there are 100 people that each have $1. They want apples and apples cost $1 from the apple farmer. Everyone can buy an apple without a problem.

What happens when 5 of the top guys (the top 5%) get a loan from the bank for $1000? They go to the farmer and buy all the fucking apples, and those 95 others (95%) can't get apples now. Then the top 5 guys turn around and sell those apples at $10+ a piece, making even more money and pay back their loans, while now having a profitable apple business. They might even buy the apple farmer out and push prices even HIGHER.

That's it. The grunts at the bottom of the pyramid saw a price of an apple go from $1 to $10 overnight, yet their income didn't move.

The top 5 guys don't give a fuck what the apple costs - $1 or $10, it's not even their money they are spending to eat a couple of the apples. All they are responsible for is paying back their loan, over 2-10 years at such a low interest rates (lowest interest rates in 5,000 years), which their new apple business takes care of easily. And god-forbid if they can get the banks to give them a non-recourse loan, if their new apple business fails they walk away without the bank coming after their other assets.

It's very critical to understand that it's not the top 5 guy's money. It's not even the bank's money. If you default on that loan Bank of America doesn't go under. That money is made out of thin air - backed by the USA military pretty much. And when there is too much money they'll pull back when they want. But those top 5 guys keep their apple farm and continue to sell their apples at $10+ without a problem or care in the world.

The most critical part that you should understand is the money supply is overflowing and banks are being pressured to give it out because that's how you keep the system going. They are begging people to come in and take the money - and this was BEFORE COVID.

I started talking to some bankers about some M&A deal I wanted to get into and now they are worse than Linkedin spam.

And now slow Joe is talking about a $4 trillion stimulus, $2000 check - stolen from Trump of course, being added ontop.

What's killing me is that it's obvious that the winners will be the real estate holders and people buying up businesses from distressed sellers.

It's always the little guys that get crushed.

So what's the solution? "Take advantage of the situation."

There is no one guarding the hen house, and if you a wolf you should see the vast opportunities right in front of you. That caveman DNA is still deep down inside of you all somewhere.

And if anyone else has a problem with me, you can Adios Motherfucker too. I'm a bit busy getting mine, hopefully you are getting yours. You guys should probably stop wasting time on bullshit and mentally masturbating while procrastinating and get in the trenches cause this next decade is going to be a bloodbath for anyone just giggling on the sidelines.

Prices will be going up 20-40%, everywhere. If that's not alarming or a call to arms, well - okay.

I'd like that post if I could @CCarter. I think your analysis is absolutely correct,

There's a massive transfer of wealth going on now with the hyperinflation and all the stimuli and covid loans. It's going to massively prop up real estate and massively devalue the salaries of the lower middle classes.

I am thinking, now would be a good time to incorporate into "Profit Websites Inc" and get some investors on board. There Is No Alternative, but better to invest in websites than invest in wine or bitcoin right?

invest in websites

IF you are buying websites/businesses that currently have revenue than yeah. BUT if you are starting a bunch of businesses/companies/websites from scratch then no. It's easier to buy revenue than generate it.

I personally wouldn't waste time with investors, since they'll get a bigger chunk of the pie, the way banks are giving out money it's pretty much free. I gave one example of how last year I walked into a bank to incorporate a new company - with ZERO revenue, and they threw a $35K credit card at me with 0% interest for 18 months. Let's say I didn't have any business idea, I could have easily took that $35K bought 1-2 websites and grew their revenue in that time before paying a single cent on interest. And that's the retarded credit card route.

Getting a loan means a lot lower interest rate and longer terms of repayment.

The company had ZERO revenue, the banker didn't even ask what the fuck business I was going to be in, AND I was even trying to walk out of there without that card, and he was like "no no no just sit down, let's just apply, won't be on your personal credit." The dude obviously was making commission off of that and me, for the different products/services he could offer me, that's fine. AND they make bonuses on the size of your loan too, so it's in their interest to give you as much money as possible.

That was just one example from my own experience. Other examples I'd rather not share cause they are still in motion. But I got a big fucking surprise journal update coming... You fucks think I'm sleeping, nah.

You don't need investors, you just need a basic plan and structure, and brains to pull it off. The problem is everyone is scared of their own shadow now-a-days - especially during COVID, so walking into a bank seems terrifying to the grunts. Fuck them. They'll continue to get crushed as they have for 10,000+ years.

I have too much personal debt though, that's why I considered if i incorporated and had investors, it would be easier.
