2020 US Election

And what's awesome is, no matter how long you live.. you will have even less class than me by comparison.

A sample def. of class:

Back on the COVID thread, me and you got into it.

You know, the thread I went at you and you went at me? The one where you posted this along with an assumed pic of me? This one = https://www.buildersociety.com/threads/coronavirus-hysteria.4925/page-19#post-51296

I decided to man up and be respectful and considerate, as well as discreet and kind and remove what I said about you. To basically not harm you in any way with future readers of that post.

I asked for the deletion of my post to the mods and they deleted it. Making sure to not bad mouth you or damage your reputation later.

I even wrote to you in PM about it. About "let us just bury the hatchet" and start over, as men.

2020-06-18_2208.png

But you didn't even acknowledge the conversation. You never bothered to reach out or extend back the olive branch.

You left a post up about me, with no concern or dignity. No class at all even though someone did that for you.

So with that, you have no ounce of class. No manhood what so ever. You're basically a worthless cuck.

And you're also jumping to conclusions once again about I post I made after a month of not having to listen to you, that I lied about something. Something that proves you know nothing of politics too or how voting even works.

The only way I know how to interact with cucks is to tell you the fuck off, as you're an idiot and I've proved you for sure, cuck master P, have less class than me.

Let's reel it back in and keep it civil, please, and revisit Rule #12:

12) This isn’t the ideal forum to talk about politics, religion, or controversial current events. These topics aren’t banned, but remember to act professionally and respectfully to your fellow members. If you can't maturely discuss these topics without emotionally charged language, don't talk about it. Please confine this discussion to the Water Cooler.
If there's going to be an argument, at least have it be about the topic of the thread and not about each other.

Lets get CRAZY and riot and loot some shit! jk haha

Distractions,,,,

The Federalist has had their ads restored after removing their comments section, which Google demanded.

ZeroHedge isn't removing their comments section, and so their ban stays. They're now banned by PayPal, too.

Status Update - Zero Hedge

Here's what's going on.

We can do what the Federalist did, and pull the entire comment section to stay alive, or we can implement a filter to comments which avoids triggering a limited number of keywords that started this whole fiasco (one can figure out the context there) and get reinstated. At the same time, there are legislative developments in the pipeline which we reported on earlier, which may or may not come to pass. We are not holding our breath.

We are going with option 2 because we would like to preserve the comments, and the website. We are doing everything we can to maintain an open forum. That said, now that we know which way the winds are blowing, we are urgently working on a premium version of the site which will be independent of outside forces, and ad free. Incidentally many of the comments that got us here, were the result of targeted provocation by people who don't have this site's best interest at heart.

One other thing: we have also been deplatformed by PayPal, which is why the donation section is different now.

Keep in mind they were also banned from Twitter for months before somehow getting their account restored.

We're way past the point of needing government involvement.

Anyone else have anything fishy/odd with their absentee ballot, if you are doing it?

.....

I'm not able to undo this unapproved change. I pretty much can not cast my vote during this primary unless I want to vote democrat.

This post isn't about me being a Republican. It's about the push for these absentee ballots by Dems and a suspect change in my party affiliation that I can not change now easily which leaves me unable to cast a vote atm, unless I pick a Democrat.

Fishy? You tell me.
Would pdfs that change themselves be considered fishy?

But you didn't even acknowledge the conversation. You never bothered to reach out or extend back the olive branch.

I'm sorry! You're on my ignore list. I have to click "show ignored content" to view your messages.

The article explained how that problem in NJ occurred. "Of the 2,400 registered Republicans in Bernardsville, 500 to 700 of them received erroneous mail-in ballots... The error originated with Reliance Graphics, Inc., the printing company which sent out Somerset County’s ballots. Normally, the county clerk’s office prepares the ballots themselves, but shopped the task to Reliance this year because of Gov. Phil Murphy’s executive order that every voter receive a vote-by-mail ballot for the delayed July 7 primary election."

That's in NJ. Saying that this is an explanation for eLiquid's situation is too far of a stretch, unless you can prove that Reliance Graphics was the printer who printed the mail for eLiquid and they had the same error in eLiquid's case too.

But, really, innate hunches are just that, innate hunches. We should be moving away form a society of faith and more towards a society of reason. It doesn't mean that a society of reason would have no faith or religion; it's just that faith and religion would be be limited to questions that they can answer while science and reason would be applied to questions that they can answer.

Having faith that the political system is broken and corrupt is not how a democracy works. In fact, that's how democracies fail.

I'm not the only one in Kentucky with wrong ballot issues.

This is a lot larger than me. You need to read the whole article to get to the section I'm talking about.

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/...election-day-disaster-confusion-a9577501.html

It doesn't layout the specific reason why, but some generalities. I still stand by my registration was changed on me for my reason on getting a wrong ballot though. No one had really dug into this.

@eliquid Are you worried about the short/medium term political stability of the US? Like, do you consider seriously, that something like a "cold" civil war might break out?

@bernard, I guess that depends on how short term is the short term in your eyes.

I'm looking long term for sure though.

There have always been a lot of "sheep" in the existance of man. People that just follow what other people put in their heads. Willing to sacrifce their own knowledge for shortcut gains brought in by others, but never asking what those "others" motives are or if even true and to what extent true. They don't even question if the "gain" they get is even something they need or want/is valuable.

Then you have people who think on their own, rely on their own experience, and question what's going on. They actually do and learn, instead of sit on their ass filling their heads with nonsense they will never use.. or if they do use it, use it incorrectly or find out later they were lied to about what they filled their head with.

In an effort to not look foolish, they won't admit their mistakes. They instead blame others instead of taking their lumps and admiting defeat/wrongfulness/ignorance and repeat the cycle.

These sheep waste their time, energy, money, reputation, and health on topics that are completely useless to them, like "is the earth flat or round". Shit that doesn't impact them on any level at all in their day to day lives, but they take the bait "hook, line, and sinker" because someone else told them to. Or things like Trump cheated on his wife and is horrible and immoral, but yet they have commited adultry too based on the same laws that originated what is moral.

There has always been these sheep.

But the time has gotten to the point where these sheep are outpacing the non-sheep. Instead of it being 80/20 like it has been, now it might be 90/10. In the future it might be 98/2. The rate of this change is accelerating every year. What was once acceptable as a ratio, is no longer acceptable.

Add to it, these sheep now have a global method of sending out their message and you just keep adding gas to the fire every year.

Once you put these people on free healthcare, free college, basic income, free phones and internet, food stamps, and more.. they lose a lot of responsibilties. They free up a lot of time. They no longer have to go to work and earn money for food, healthcare, college, phones, and more. Which means in turn they have all the time in the world to crowd up and protest and do what the shepard wants them to do.

Just send out the bat signal on Twitter and round up your herd to do your bidding.

We can't go to the beach or eat in a restaurant for 3 months because of COVID-19 and people lost their small business, jobs, and livlyhood to stay indoors to "protect grandma", but then those same people who shamed you to protect grandma and the elderly the next day round up to riot and tear down statues in masses of hundreds and thousands before we open up the country with no care in the world for grandma or COVID-19.

What does tearing down a statue or renaming a college do for anyone?

I'll tell you, it erases history. Weren't we taught that if we don't learn from history we are doomed to repeat it? How can you learn from history if you are out erasing it?

I'm not saying we should honor wrongs in our past, but destroying property is also not the answer. Just let the cities take them down instead of going out and "hurting grandma" with your COVID-19 spreading.

The rate of those people is growing. Their logic makes no sense, but they can't comprehend that or even see it. They just do what someone else told them, without thinking, "hey, weren't we afraid to even go out to protect grandma just yesterday"?

Wither that leads to a cold civil war or not is not going to waste energy in my mind. I'm just going to notice the change and be prepared for it long term and do what I want, when I want and just realize there are more of these fools out their than prior.

That will serve me well though in my long term plan. I got things figured out to benefit me.

Yeah, I agree with everything you wrote.

It is very important to recognize when its time to either bug out or put up a fight.

It's not yet, but unlike most, I think it's within 5-10 years and it could be a lot sooner.

The cause will be red states becoming purple/blue due to people leaving their old states of California, New York, etc.

It's funny- a lot of people don't like living in blue states so they move to red states, but they keep all the negative characteristics with them that caused the blue to states to become less-desirable locations to live in, and they bring them to the red states.

Look at Texas and Georgia- they've become more blue year after year- same with Florida to some degree.

Sooner or later (the 2024 election most likely) there just won't be enough red states. There's going to be such a mish-mash of California "yogis" and conservative patriots living close to each other that there will be no escape from the types of people each side prefer to avoid.

Un uh Yeah, there's a deep state conspiracy against Donald Trump.

Look, the deep state conspiracy, filled with pedophiles, infiltrated into the republican party and made republicans fund this ad for Biden.

You guys need to work doubly hard to get Trump elected! I donated to Biden's campaign, because of the mind control power of this deep state. Please help me and us free ourselves from the deep state, by donating to Trump's campaign... unless you don't have any money.

When someone takes a loss so hard they advertise it to the world.

You're probably not even registered to vote.

You're probably not even registered to vote.

Steller comeback.

You're clearly a loser and are donating to a loser and will vote for that loser. When it's all over come November we'll see what you have to say for your racist candidate's massive loss.

.... you Are just registering to vote out of hate. You don’t have money to donate to Trumps campaign nor Do you support him enough to donate. Got it.

yeah, trump is really popular with the anti-intellectual, lower class, non-college educated Voters. good thing you found your political candidate! I wonder if you even know what his platform is and how that fits into society as a whole.

anyways, see you at the polls!

yeah, trump is really popular with the anti-intellectual, lower class, non-college educated Voters. good thing you found your political candidate!

This is cute.

What is an anti-intellectual? We used to refer to people as smart and, conversely, dumb. We've created a new category of idiots that consists of folks who are capable of reading (but not understanding) and who nevertheless read and (haphazardly) reference Wikipedia entries and can hold conversations regarding the substance of Wikipedia entries but offer relatively little by way of substance or ingenuity. The more obscure, philosophical, detached from reality and impractical, the better the entry and the better the conversation and therefore (I guess) the more intellectual the person.

It's inappropriate to refer to others as lower class (or at least it used to be). It defies your own party's ideology. We're all equal, I thought. It's a brave new world. Leftists used to purport to stand for equality while lying through their teeth. Today, leftists don't even need to pretend to stand for equality. If you're "anti-intellectual, lower class, non-college educated" you're subhuman and do not deserve to be treated with even a modicum of fucking respect. Frankly, even the leftist Antifa zealouts of years past wouldn't be caught dead referring to anyone, let alone a class of people, as "anti-intellectual, lower class, non-college educated" so it's especially impressive how far the left has progressed (or devolved, really).

I don't fit into your "anti-intellectual, lower class, non-college educated" demographic (although I don't talk about myself or think about myself in terms of a member of a particular "class") but I'd take Trump over one of your beloved leftist deadbeats. For that reason, among others, Trump's also "really popular" with folks who aren't "anti-intellectual, lower class, non-college educated."

I'd be curious to know how "intellectual" you are, what class you're a member of and the extent of your education. At least on sites like Examine and Wikipedia, when an alleged expert is opining on a topic, the expert lays out (or there's a reference to) their credentials. It would be worth knowing what your credentials are. I'd share my anemic credentials, but I have not created a bunch of posts about myself or my political views or the election. As BuSo's favorite leftist and your own greatest fan, it's your social responsibility to identify your credentials, including how "intellectual" you are, what class you're a member of and the extent of your education. Having coined a phrase like "anti-intellectual, lower class, non-college educated" I am expecting impressive credentials out of you, consisting of prestigious undergraduate and graduate level course work and corresponding degrees, a highly diverse portfolio with a track record of profitability and a seven figure income (at least), along with a respectable job.

This year I ask for my absentee ballot ( which BTW the democrats are pushing hard ) and they have me marked as democrat. My ballot only allows me to vote democrat names even for the president.

It looks like the same "accident" is happening in New Jersey:

NJ Republicans Receive Misprinted Ballots with Democratic Candidates Listed Instead - The Western Journal

The Western Journal said:
Many Republican voters in one New Jersey community got a surprise when they opened their mail ballots for a July 7 primary. Their choices were all Democrats.

I donated to Biden's campaign, because of the mind control power of this deep state.

I assume you are kidding? Otherwise pretty sure this writes off anything you say from here on out. You'd have to be as dense as a rock to support a candidate that is unable to put together sentences. And he wants to lead a nation?

This entire thread is dogshit.

discussing politics with random strangers on the internet is retarded and a colossal waster of energy

Kanye 2020
Get out the vote.

Well someone has already filed paperwork:

As of Saturday evening, the only candidate for president named Kanye West in the FEC database for the 2020 election year is a Green Party candidate named "Kanye Deez Nutz West."

Source: Kanye West Announces 2020 Presidential Run

--

Edit: They haven't confirmed whether it's the same Mr. West though.

This is a deep troll.

The stated goal is to run for president, while the assumed goal is to siphon black voters from Biden, while the actual goal is just self promotion.

while the assumed goal is to siphon black voters from Biden

A majority of the audience that buys Kayne's products (music and clothes/shoes) are non-black. It's more so to troll for the younger votes versus specifically a race.

From what I gather, there were about 16.4 million black votes in 2016 (12% of the total 137 million votes).
  • Hillary got 89% of these votes, or around 14.6 million.
  • Trump got 8%, or around 1.3 million.
  • Let's use these numbers as expected projections for Biden/Trump in 2020.
Now, let's say Kanye West runs as an independent and gets 50% of the black vote, which are taken evenly from Biden and Trump. That would means he's taking 7.3 million votes from Biden, but just 650,000 from Trump. This is effectively a net gain of over 6.5 million votes for Trump.

That should be enough for Trump to absolutely crush Biden; a 40+ state blow out victory. And that's just the black vote. Kanyon will also siphon off some of the young vote, giving Trump even more of a net gain.

Apparently, all Kanye needs to do to get on the ballot as an independent is get a certain amount of signatures from various districts/states. That'll be a piece of cake for someone with his fame, especially with Trump supporters helping make it happen.

Kanye helps Trump and the MAGA message, cements his legacy forever by essentially changing American history, and he gets hundreds of millions in free publicity.

If this happens, it'll go down as one of the most brilliant political moves in history. The left will absolutely lose their shit. Their 2016 meltdown will look sane by comparison.

I can't wait.

giphy.gif

Kanye is not going to get any votes.

I hope Trump doesn't actually believe this.

We're way past "the funny vote". The left are going to all vote Biden, foregoing Green party and Libertarian.

If I lived in the US, I'd be thinking long and hard, where to be past November. I'm sure you've all thought about this. Whichever way the vote ends up, I don't think peace is on the menu for 2021.
