No, but Fury is an interesting character, because he is from the Travellers in the UK, which are a sort of gypsies (not related), who historically travelled around and fixed horseshoes and got into various trouble, not least bareknuckle fighting. There is a documentary made about them and their culture of fighting bareknuckle for horses and prestige on Youtube. They are tough, violent and religious and thus a rarity among modern white europeans.

Are noise-cancelling headphones safe?

It sounds somewhat disturbing that they are literally "anti-sound".

It depends. The older ones play pink noise out of both sides at different rates. When you turn them on, your equilibrium goes whacky, for sure. I did not enjoy them at all when someone brought some over once.

The new ones (I think) record the ambient sound and then invert it in the waveforms of the music so that when the two waveforms meet, the "noise" is canceled out. They have this in cars now, which seems dangerous. This won't cause any weird sensations or literal balance issues. My head felt like it was being turned for me with the other ones.

Hmm... I think I have to research this more. I suppose a couple of normal large over-ears will also help with shutting out a lot of noise.

I bought some Sennheiser with ANC:

They're cool and all, but I really need to remind myself not to buy more stuff. Back to need to have instead of nice to have.

RIP Jack Welsh: Jack Welch GEO CEO Death

When I was a kid I would study this man and his management style. He had the best quotes too:

#1. "Change before you have to."
#2. "Control your own destiny or someone else will."
#3. "Willingness to change is a strength, even if it means plunging part of the company into total confusion for a while."
#4. "Number one, cash is king... number two, communicate... number three, buy or bury the competition."
#5. "You measure your people and you take action on those that don't measure up."

This feels like the final countdown folks... I don't think we're all going to make it. All the great ones are starting to die off.

Naw, just like sports there will always be great ones, just different generations. Ford, JP Morgan, rockfeller.
Disney, Ray Crock, Buffet
Jobs, Gates

Some of you may wonder where the "Like" link went for this section. I disabled it only for the Water Cooler.

My original intention was to allow Likes here but not use them in the calculation of each user's total likes. I may still do that but I don't have the time at the moment to develop a solution.

The point of Likes here is to measure a user's contributions to the forum on the business side of things. In the Water Cooler we're seeing situations, for example, where Ryuzaki posted a meme and received a ton of Likes. That goes against the spirit of the Likes system.

I'll update everyone if I manage to switch to my original intention of having Likes here but not counting them in the totals. Thanks.

I am signing up for RingPartner- I see the option to put in a referral...anyone use it that wants the credit for the signup. Not sure if it gets you anything but thought I would ask.

I see a button to watch a thread. I see a button to ignore a user. Is there a way to ignore a thread?

Comrades! It times for the action!

We’ve been working in the background to bring you all something that will help out in these interesting times.

We think we’ve got the answers we all need to inject momentum, energy, and resurrect the revenues that have been lost to so many.

It’s going to be long, and hard times ahead. But if we stick together and help each other out the sun shall never set again on the BuSo empire!

(I am clearly losing my mind in isolation...)

If you can’t sell shit to idiots willing to fight over toilet paper, you suck. Toilet paper... is this really the reality we are living?

Could you imagine 5 years ago or 10 years ago stating “the US is going to pause it’s economy.”

What? Wtf is going on?

The movie Franklyn was based off this premise. Eva Green is glorious!
