Why would I post this when 99% of people in the world can't seem to simply pull the trigger? I don't understand your "Why?".

Unless you are suggesting you are the first person in all of man to not have a single insecurity?

I didn't mean to offend you. I was just wondering why you shared that post here.

For me, that post seemed somewhat shallow and not related to this forum, so I thought maybe there's some kind of a hidden agenda for why you're sharing that here.

E.g. because you liked that post and wanted to simply share it with us? Or is it an example of how Lolly Daskal can get away by guest posting thin content on large websites to promote her motivational books? Or maybe some other reason why you shared that?

Should have expanded on that more instead of a single "why". I'm not trying to discourage you or anyone else from sharing stuff here, I was just wondering what's so special about that one, haha.

By the way, speaking of insecurities - I have loads. But every time I'm afraid to do something, I just say 'fuck it' and do it anyway. A good example would be speaking in front of audiences. A few minutes before I have to start, my hands will usually start shaking and my heart will begin pounding, but I try to Ignore that and do it anyway. Sometimes It'll be obvious for everyone that I'm nervous for the first minutes, but after a while, it gets better. Same goes for other stuff, like starting new projects, or anything else.

Interesting, for me it's giving up in "the dip". I can start new projects without a care in the world, but it's sticking with them when they're not making money. My insecurities rear their heads when "this thing was meant to be making money 6 months ago" and it still isn't.

I've been trying to give myself some success metrics outside of just money for my projects now. It's helping because I can point to "hey the rankings up 20%" or "I've genuinely helped 1200 people this month". This keeps motivation up when stuff gets tough.

But if anyone has tips on powering through the though times, I'm very keen to hear them.

Big thanks for the encouragement to ditch Mailpoet @CCarter! I got it set up last weekend, sent my first newsletter and also realised it could work for cold email outreach. Gave it a quick test and, yep, it's great.

So for anyone who is new to cold email, here's a fun UTM code to use on your call to action for Sendy:

Code:
https://mywebsite.com/?utm_source=outreach&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=[Email]
Think about the link in your email where you're saying "click here to learn more" or even just "mywebsite.com".

Sendy has some good click/open tracking, but this allows you to drill down into the really engaged prospects in GA.

After they've spent some time on your site you'll be able to tell which prospects viewed multiple pages, what pages they viewed, which came back later that day, etc.

Disclaimer: I've been lazy about this and used an email address. If I remember correctly this isn't something you're meant to do. If you plan to do this on a large scale you should probably use a unique ID in Sendy that is in no way identifiable to Google.

Hacker's Manifesto

Another one got caught today, it's all over the papers. "Teenager
Arrested in Computer Crime Scandal", "Hacker Arrested after Bank Tampering"...
Damn kids. They're all alike.

But did you, in your three-piece psychology and 1950's technobrain,
ever take a look behind the eyes of the hacker? Did you ever wonder what
made him tick, what forces shaped him, what may have molded him?
I am a hacker, enter my world...
Mine is a world that begins with school... I'm smarter than most of
the other kids, this crap they teach us bores me...
Damn underachiever. They're all alike.

I'm in junior high or high school. I've listened to teachers explain
for the fifteenth time how to reduce a fraction. I understand it. "No, Ms.
Smith, I didn't show my work. I did it in my head..."
Damn kid. Probably copied it. They're all alike.

I made a discovery today. I found a computer. Wait a second, this is
cool. It does what I want it to. If it makes a mistake, it's because I
screwed it up. Not because it doesn't like me...
Or feels threatened by me...
Or thinks I'm a smart ass...
Or doesn't like teaching and shouldn't be here...
Damn kid. All he does is play games. They're all alike.

And then it happened... a door opened to a world... rushing through
the phone line like heroin through an addict's veins, an electronic pulse is
sent out, a refuge from the day-to-day incompetencies is sought... a board is
found.
"This is it... this is where I belong..."
I know everyone here... even if I've never met them, never talked to
them, may never hear from them again... I know you all...
Damn kid. Tying up the phone line again. They're all alike...

You bet your ass we're all alike... we've been spoon-fed baby food at
school when we hungered for steak... the bits of meat that you did let slip
through were pre-chewed and tasteless. We've been dominated by sadists, or
ignored by the apathetic. The few that had something to teach found us will-
ing pupils, but those few are like drops of water in the desert.

This is our world now... the world of the electron and the switch, the
beauty of the baud. We make use of a service already existing without paying
for what could be dirt-cheap if it wasn't run by profiteering gluttons, and
you call us criminals. We explore... and you call us criminals. We seek
after knowledge... and you call us criminals. We exist without skin color,
without nationality, without religious bias... and you call us criminals.
You build atomic bombs, you wage wars, you murder, cheat, and lie to us
and try to make us believe it's for our own good, yet we're the criminals.

Yes, I am a criminal. My crime is that of curiosity. My crime is
that of judging people by what they say and think, not what they look like.
My crime is that of outsmarting you, something that you will never forgive me
for.

I am a hacker, and this is my manifesto. You may stop this individual,
but you can't stop us all... after all, we're all alike.
