Coronavirus Hysteria

Alex Jones is about to have a field day:

The increased fines on employers could run as high as $70,000 for serious infractions, and $700,000 for willful or repeated violations—almost three-quarters of a million dollars for each fine. If enacted into law, vax enforcement could bankrupt non-compliant companies even more quickly than the $14,000 OSHA fine anticipated under Biden’s announced mandate.

..

SEC. 21004. ADJUSTMENT OF CIVIL PENALTIES.

(a) OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH ACT OF 1970.—Section 17 of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 (29 U.S.C. 666) is amended—

(1) in subsection (a)—

(A) by striking ‘‘$70,000’’ and inserting ‘‘$700,000’’; and

(B) by striking ‘‘$5,000’’ and inserting ‘‘$50,000’’;

(2) in subsection (b), by striking ‘‘$7,000’’ and inserting ‘‘$70,000’’; and

(3) in subsection (d), by striking ‘‘$7,000’’ and inserting ‘‘$70,000’’

That provision would change existing law relating to OSHA’s enforcement fines, the very same section of law whose fines OSHA referenced in its June Covid-19 healthcare worker rule and is likely to use again to enforce its forthcoming vaccine compliance rules.

The Existing Law

29 U.S.C.§ 666 lays out OSHA enforcement fine levels. The 1970-enacted law reads:

29 U.S. Code § 666 - Civil and criminal penalties

(a) Willful or repeated violation Any employer who willfully or repeatedly violates the requirements of section 654 of this title, any standard, rule, or order promulgated pursuant to section 655 of this title, or regulations prescribed pursuant to this chapter may be assessed a civil penalty of not more than $70,000 for each violation, but not less than $5,000 for each willful violation

(b) Citation for serious violation Any employer who has received a citation for a serious violation of the requirements of section 654 of this title, of any standard, rule, or order promulgated pursuant to section 655 of this title, or of any regulations prescribed pursuant to this chapter, shall be assessed a civil penalty of up to $7,000 for each such violation [emphasis added].

Each year, OSHA adjusts these penalties for inflation, so for 2021, the fines are not actually capped at $70,000 and $7,000, but $136,532 and $13,653 per violation. If House Democrats get their way, by enacting the page 168 changes, those fines would increase to $700,000 for willful and repeated violations and $70,000 for serious violations.

It's weird how the Mainstream media isn't reporting ANY of this. GO to CNN or MSNBC and type in "protest" in the search... No information.

Journalists have shown their true colors.

I am lucky all my income is online and work from home.

Personally being forced to stay in the house, even more, this year than usually proved very productive and profitable.

That being said I did have family in the hospital and I don't wish anyone to go through that.

There seems to be so much fighting about the virus nowadays between people believing various things about the vaccine, it's crazy.

I took the vaccine and just stayed in my room and made money, and played some wow classic to remember the times when I was young haha

I feel there wouldn't be any fighting about COVID if it were as simple as:

Let people take the vaccine if they wish. Those that don't, leave alone.
  • We let people take the Flu shoot on their own will every year. No one is punished for not doing it. Every year most of the world comes down with the Flu in some way and yes, people die from it too. We don't force people to take the Flu shot though or produce records of it to do XYZ.

  • Plenty of women get to choose "my body my choice", and are supported for it. There is no punishment if they have a child, or not. Even though this could be considered murder to many people. We don't punish a women for having an abortion, or reward one that doesn't.

  • Parents get to choose if their son is circumcised or not, a practice rooted in both hygiene and religion. No punishment for those that do, or do not. A circumcised penis can help reduce the transmission of sexually transmitted diseases such as trichomoniasis and HIV, but we aren't demanding records from men on their penises ( and overall hygiene like if they wash their hands after urination ) to help slow down or prevent HIV.

  • Homeschooled children are not forced ( at least where I live ) to take the same vaccines as schooled children, even though they go out into the world every day ( minus school ) and eat, play, go to movies, etc. No one is punished or demanding to see their "vaccine record" when they go into Chuck E Cheese though. When I entered college, I was not told I needed to produce my "vaccination" records either.. so whose to prove I ever had any to begin with?
If you remove the forced COVID policies, you wouldn't have fighting. People would go about and do what they always have done, just as they do now.

We have plenty of examples where people are doing similar activities on their own free will with no punishment on the end choice, I only listed 4 above.. all of which have health consequences to another person if the exampled person doesn't take the "appropriate" and "correct" health action. To put a punishment or a reward for COVID treatment action, is a double standard.

That's what the fighting is about.

Once the fight starts, you get into all the other issues like medical facts, rights, etc. When you remove the mandate, you lose the fighting and all that comes with the fighting.

But because there is a double standard, and we live in a world where no one thinks for themselves ( oh please spoon feed me more big gov. ), and most people need to be coddled in their safe place... you get this type of response and action.

The mandates are not about the virus, it's about trying to turn the West less open and less democratic.

My girls and I (all 2x vaccinated) all got sort of sick like a week before Thanksgiving with the same symptoms: sinus issues about on par with seasonal allergies and a huge lack of energy. I made a joke about how we all probably have Covid but didn't think much of it.

On Thanksgiving Day, I had to run to Walgreens to pick something up, and I decided to get some Covid tests for the lols. Turns out we actually all had Covid, so then I kind of felt like an ass for joking about it.

I wasn't really a fan of this Fauci fuck for a while, but I got to thinking about it, and I think I was the one in the wrong. He's the one out here making assloads of money off of all of these retards while I'm not, so I felt like there was something for me to learn there.

My understanding, which could obviously be wrong, is that we're lagging being South Africa on the general trend for omicron by about 4 weeks or so. Here are the three-month graphs for South Africa and the United States for comparison:

If this is the correct assumption, then we should see cases peak and start to fall in about two weeks. They should have the sixth booster out by then.

Yet when you google looking for news about how more fully vaccinated are suffering than non vaccinated, you get nothing, just pages of results about how the unvaccinated are dying by the droves. Literally LYING right now.
These figures have occured in other countries, and those other countries are getting more Orwellian on their citizens, proving it's not really about covid at all IMO.
Us "conspiratards" predicted all this and got laughed at... I'd like to say its bittersweet but I feel too bad for those who got 4 vax shots and will likely die from the long term effects...that big pharma is indemnified from.

Time to buy Google stocks before this becomes mainstream news.

You do realize 88% of the pop is vaccinated, yet the ICU is basically split 50-50 between fully vaccinated and unvaccinated? That means 9% of people are responsible for 50% of ICU patients? That's huge. And if you break it up by age groups it gets even worse. Being vaccinated and under 60 basically means you won't die from COVID at all.

You do realize that a "vaccine" is supposed to work - and this one doesn't seem to, right? Or half of ICU patients wouldn't be "vaccinated" and boosters wouldn't (already) be necessary.

They even changed the meaning of "vaccine" to keep the herd in the right path: https://www.miamiherald.com/news/coronavirus/article254111268.html

That's not a fact. That's your belief system talking.

But I don't blame people for thinking this even though its premise seems somewhat mistaken (seasonal flu shots are a good example), and the CDC changing their definition on their website is obviously trying to keep up with that even though it looks shady as hell. People still get measles boosters even now if they're going to be around groups more likely to get measles, as a less common example.

Government and media have been lying to us from the beginning to try to get people to do what they want on whatever whim seems like a good idea at the time. I'm sure virtually everyone here knows about the flip-flopping on masks from the WHO, CDC and so on and what that was about.

Here's another example of the same type of thing from less than a year ago: https://www.independent.co.uk/news/...tics/vaccine-covid-fauci-deaths-b1808878.html

The numbers Americans should be emphasising are that all three vaccines have proven 100 per cent effective at preventing deaths. The risk of hospitalisation also plummets to virtually zero for people who receive the vaccine.
This should have never been pushed just like the ridiculous masks lie (that they'll make it more likely for you to get Covid) shouldn't have been.

As far as the point of view that it's all to get people to conform to government wishes more, I don't really know one way or another, but it wouldn't surprise me.

Those numbers are useless without context.

Some people can't get vaccinated because they have immune system conditions for instance. You also have to filter out those who get hit by a truck but tested positive within 30-60 days before, which would lead them to count as covid positive in the statistics.

Being vaccinated and under 60 basically means you won't die from COVID at all.

There's no risk of dying from covid under 60 as unvaccinated either, if you're not morbidly obese.

I would be more worried about dying from the vaccine side effects long term.

If I offered you a pill to increase your dick size and you asked me what the side effects were, and I said, I have no data and you can't sue me or prosecute me after you took it if it goes wrong, would you take it? And how would you feel if all of the news outlets started saying that people who don't take my dick pill deserve to die because they are being selfish? And suddenly those who did publically take it are dying of heart attacks?

You can't reason with these people, once they've drunk the kool-aid they'll keep going and start walking around in these:

--

They've succumb to fear. It also gives them a sense of entitlement and an air of "holier-than-thou" feeling to try to push the agenda.

If you want to get vaccinated get it. If you don't then don't. If you need a 12th booster to feel safe fine. Just don't try to impose your will on others - whichever side you are on.

The reason people have time to shout about it from one side or another is out of pure boredom.

Also now consider that even Canadians are protesting this nonsense: Hundreds march in Montreal against COVID-19 health measures, vaccine mandates

covid-que-20220108.jpg

Do you know what it takes to get a Canadian angry?

At a certain point the music will stop spinning, and we are getting close.

Vaccines clearly work when ICU is split up 50-50 between vaxxed and unvaxxed but vaxxed represent 90% of the pop and unvaxxed 10%. It's simple maths really lol

It's simple maths really lol

So? Why are you so concerned, they chose their path. Let them live with it.

If you haven't been able to convince them with propaganda and trying to shame them into complying with the government demands, more of the same won't do it. So why put energy towards it?

There's no risk of dying from covid under 60 as unvaccinated either, if you're not morbidly obese.

I'm not typically one to take part in these threads, but there's a few fundamental arguments that need stated here:

1. It is possible to die from covid under 60. Examples:
Young nurse and mother who joked about vaccines
Another mother who orphaned her 12 year old son
Another young mother who left behind four children
Healthy Republican Senator (52) leaves behind wife and two children

There's plenty more examples, but I don't have all day. This is just to show you CAN die from it without a vaccine, even if you're young and healthy. But honestly that's not important.

2. What's important is that you don't spread the virus.
If you're young, healthy, and have no medical issues, that's great. Yes, you only have a minor risk of dying without a vaccine. But what about everyone else in your life?

Sure, you may not be over 60, obese, or have medical issues. But what about your grandparents? Or your friends? Or their parents?

The goal isn't to 'beat' covid solo; to laugh at it because you're young and healthy. It's to stop it from getting to the vulnerable people around us. The problem with being unvaccinated, not wearing a mask, and not caring about guidelines isn't that you're way more likely to get covid. That's your choice. The problem is that you're way more likely to give covid to someone who could die from it.

3. The vaccine works.

I know you may not be arguing with this one, but it's worth stating for the point coming up below.

Here's data from Switzerland showing mortality rates per person in unvaccinated vs vaccinated people.
bxblufP.png

4. Mandates are there to protect the vulnerable.
Like I said, the chance of you dying from covid without a vaccine are low, so it's understandable not to care about it. But that isn't the point.

The issue is that you are capable of spreading the disease to vulnerable people. That's why we need vaccines, masks, and all the other annoying restrictions. I don't do all that because I'm scared for myself. I do that because I don't want to be the reason my grandmother ends up suffocating in a hospital. Or the kind old lady in my building. Or my friend who's got bad asthma.

The reason restrictions are being put up (all over the world) is to stop people spreading the disease to the vulnerable. Masks and vaccines aren't there to protect you from getting the virus, that's just a small bonus. They are there to stop you from spreading it.

That's why they're putting restrictions on people who are unvaccinated and who aren't wearing masks. Because they're more likely to spread the disease if they have it. It's not a punishment, it's about protecting people.

So? Why are you so concerned, they chose their path. Let them live with it.

If Covid didn't spread easily, then I 100% agree you should be able to skip the vaccine and face no consequences. It's your life, do what you want. But when skipping the vaccine means you're WAY more likely to infect the vulnerable people around you, that's when restrictions are needed.

I hope that makes sense. I normally avoid getting involved in this stuff but I care about this forum too much to see misinformation spread on it.

To summarise:
  1. You can die from covid, even if you're young and healthy. But that isn't the point.
  2. The issue isn't you, it's the vulnerable people around you. Even if you're healthy, you can spread the disease to them.
  3. Masks, vaccines, and so on are there to minimize everyone spreading covid to those vulnerable people.
  4. Restrictions on no-masks/unvaccinated are there because of the massively increased danger of spreading the disease. It's not your life that matters, it's the impact you have on the vulnerable people around you.
