What do you guys enjoy doing beyond our line of work?

My passion outside of our work is anything related to consciousness. I love studying mythology, psychology, theology, philosophy, etc.

I'm also fiending for making a video game. I don't want to do anything extravagant, but I think I'll eventually pump out my first game and see how it goes. Browser based flash-game style. Not consoles or PC.

Otherwise, I love working with my hands on woodworking, yardwork, etc.

I'm a huge fan of fantasy, horror, and sci-fi books and movies.

What do you guys get into? What moves you?

This is something I'm pretty interested by but have never done much study into. Could you suggest a few books for someone who's never looked into this?

Personally, I spend a lot of time lifting, cooking and eating. I follow competitive bodybuilding and powerlifting to an extent.

I'm a big movie buff but try to limit myself to only one or two per week otherwise my important tasks won't get done.

Otherwise I'll be generic and say 'travel'. I love experiencing new cultures and people. Also I love beautiful women

I'm big into music, film (watching the entire criterion collection... an ongoing task) and reading.

I'm also into weird shit, like brewing beer and making bean-to-bar chocolate from scratch.

I tinker around in my workshop for woodworking stuff and building shit. IMO every man should scratch that itch, especially all of us nerds who spend 14 hours a day on the computer.

I play a shitload of games too - pc, xbox, wii u, doesn't matter. I'm all over it (and am fiending to make a game too... shit).

I've actually often thought about building out a site in that niche. A few of the supply shops do pretty well. I've given them thousands myself... (midwest got my cc stolen once when they got hacked). Now that brewingtv got picked up by NB, I feel like there's a solid play on the field for some strong video content.

Margins are smaller compared to other niches, but I've got one. I keep it hobby, though, and don't even aim to make immense profit. Having said that, a little time and a decent site and you can scale your email list and social followers VERY quickly in this niche. Building a brand would be a cake walk.

I used Midwest a few times, but I prefer Northern Brewer almost exclusively.

I rock that NB here too - we have a store not to far. I was thinking of developing out some apps / utilities (that stupid iOS / android one is like $20 and horrible - ibeermaster or whatever).

    2. Traveling, although I am very limited in it atm.
    3. Cars - old and ugly, big v8's, 4 door trucks ( like F100's/Dodge w200 early years ), some slant 6's
    4. Stalking Carter

Golf - been playing since about '94, and it is the only sport where they encourage drinking and driving something motorized. (Besides NASCAR)

Video Games - The funny thing is, that is why I ended up in this industry. I play games more as a social thing as most of my real life friends play as well. I like quick games (LoL,Overwatch, Rocket League) and I sank many hours into WoW. I really enjoy watching LCS and the stats. I am a data nerd. And if you want to see an industry that is booming right now, take a look at some eSports data.

Skiing - I live 30 mins from 10 of the best mountains in Colorado.

Cannabis Industry - Shit is like the wild west out here son. People making millions. The city I live in has around 20k people a month looking for weed info. The money is insane, and I may or may not do some SEO for a few cannabis folks

NFL - Again, I love studying markets and I love stats. Data is like heroin. I have to block /r/nfl at work lol.

Yeah, about that. We need a BuSo gaming group. LoL, rocket league, etc. I've been trying to get into watching LCS and whatnot, but it makes my head swim. I work in the industry (kind of) on the SEO side.

And NFL = BuSO fantasy league next year.

I'm getting ready for handicapping baseball. Can't wait. I'm a degenerate.

I am down to play some games, not to mention its nice to talk to people who understand what a backlink is.

We should do a BuSO suicide league next year. Shit is so fun.

My family is from the east coast so I basically let the Red Sox decide how drunk I get back there every summer.

@CCarter I have had like 8 people ask me if you are a girl. I told them you are Taylor Swift. Don't you go blowing my cover.

My life right now is centered around two things:

    a) this IM stuff (even when I sleep)
    b) staying in shape (I'm dropping some fat right now, and working out just 1.5h EOD)

But I'm much into nutrition (of dogs and cats as well), biochemistry, psychology, nature (which is almost like a God to me), some ancient philosophy. Lately I discovered DIY wrist watches and petrol engines (but I have no time right now to make any of them, but I will start soon). Since I was a little kid I loved those plastic kit models etc. Then I forget about them, but it looks like I got hooked again. This time on a new level :D This is a great forum, and some great people out there http://www.homemodelenginemachinist.com/index.php

Once I have all the tools to build that little engine I will probably play with this...
Always wanted to build my own gun, and it's really easy!

One of my passions is playing soccer. Video games (JRPG, to be precise) are also another of my hobbies.
