I firmly believe $0.80 of every ad dollar should be spent on the headline/hook.

IYKYK

Because of this, I have always been more focused on hooks and headlines than other parts of my ad.

And seeing how Google and Meta are shifting us to more to CTV and Linear type of targeting, this focus has paid off a ton for me.

So I built a small tool to help me do the market research and hook writing for all my ads. While I use these mainly for video ads, I have used the data for image ads and also text ads too.

The tool is not public. Don't ask.

But Im wanting to test it on other advertisers who are already spending decently on video atm. People who have good landing pages and websites, good spend behind their ads, are maybe primarily focused on ecom ( sorry I dont think mobile apps or lead gen would really benefit as much ) and people who have something in place to get videos made to test these hooks and headlines.

Anyone down for some free headlines and hooks so I can test out my inhouse tool more?

I can't accept everyone. I will need to ask you some questions about the above to see if you are a good fit.

Sounds interesting. I’d definitely be interested in testing this, especially if the tool can help identify hooks that actually improve CTR and conversions. Happy to answer the questions and see if I’m a good fit.

The hook is the most important thing. Its the first attention grabber. Its like fishing. That Nibble is that attention grab in the first quarter second and setting the hook. After that the viewer lets you do stuff with their attention and its up to you to do the emotional roller coaster ride that makes them buy or watch the rest of the video whatever you are trying to do to reel them in.

Its more likely you can keep the attention if you hook hard in the first quarter second. I've noticed this on my videos. As a stupid example, but one nonetheless, I made a video with ai on a new Twitter account called "Bonnie Blue arrested for Skibidi Blumpkin"

It got 100k views in 24 hours. It was such a stupid George Droid meme video but that hook got people and then once they were hooked they watched the video which was only about 30 seconds bc it was a jumpscare of random internet humor.
