Some of my favs are madlib (and quasimoto), mf doom, action broson, wu-tang, aesop rock just off the top of my head. So many more.

How would someone take your favorite music and use it for social engineering? I'm not familiar with that practice, are there people out to get you?! :D

Hey ThemeGuy are you still around? I need some help with a theme for a new project. PM me if you see this. Thanks.

Big welcome to a guy who has contributed a ton already before I even logged back in! Thanks for joining

Hi guys,
Thanks for accepting me here. This is Martin, from Argentina.
I work as front end web developer for a local agency (for foreign clients), and I run also my own SEO agency with my partner, since 2012. Previously, I had worked some time as SEO freelance for some local clients. Until now (actually, it's been a while already), I have always worked as 'white hat', but I'm really tired of reading everywhere about google propaganda, given that I KNOW that it is mostly bullshit. I don't want to make this boring. I just want to get more and more knowledge from you guys, I want to apply your techniques in a different market than yours (Argentina, Spain, spanish-speaking countries mostly), and of course I'd be more than happy to share my progress and case studies with you all. I promise I will not ask silly questions before testing things myself.
Thank you, and have a good day.

If Carter (and the other Ronins) are in here, I know I'm in the right place...

Looking forward to grow and build this community with you all. I've worked with Fortune 500 companies, major publishing and ecommerce sites. Like many of you, I'm here to master my craft.

Hi everyone, let's dance.

Sounds like you've got quite a bit of real world experience under your belt! I hope to learn much from you. As much as you're willing to share!

Someone will have to explain to me what a ronin is in this context, but you're definitely in the right place! Nice to have you on board Kaizen.

(That's what you meant, right?)

Lol, close. Carter can explain that for ya.

Yeah I've worn many hats

Your one of the people who have inspired and helped me "indirectly" and huge part of what I am today. "Surround yourself around smart people". Your friggin too good and I know I'm going to learn so much more here. Its going to be fun. Looking forward to be a part of and "fly" with this new IM community.. Thank you CC

The Ronins are the spiritual remains of an ancient ruin that is a pile of rubble now. As each Ronin's soul re-incarnates into this new forum, we'll will be re-born onto a new - reborn to dominate the world once again.

The flood is coming...

Oh okay that explains it.... /s

lol

We're ready for a flood. Solid foundation, and plenty of lifeboats to go around.

Ronin means a samurai with out a master to take commands from, a lone wolf who don't need to have a place or a family even a master to be loyal to cause all of that is lost  Japanese traditional stuff, also yakuza members work that way (old rules)...

Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself a little. I'm RF, I currently work full time as a self-employed SEO. I have a mix of my own projects, but mostly I'm kept busy with client work right now.

In the years I've been self-employed I've done a little bit of other inbound marketing based work, nothing crazy though.

I stuck with SEO more so as I just have more fun doing it. I know some of you might think I'm insane for saying that... I'm spending a lot of my time at the moment focusing on on-page factors and testing those factors.

I think I'm going to learn a lot here overall and just want to say in advance that I'm thankful for all of those here who spend the time writing the content that'll improve us all as marketers.

I'm not an extraordinary SEO. In the ~8 years I've been at this, I have managed to scrape enough knowledge together to hack my way through building sites that happen to make enough money to cover the expenses while leaving me a tidy profit.

I'm a very part time seo and probably will never quit my day job. I do hope to retire from it early with the help of seo, however. Very early. So far things are looking good, but I do realize that this dream could be gone tomorrow.

I'm a realist and I'm not here to try to fool you into thinking that I'm some sort of baller. But at the same time I do realize that I have gotten way farther than 99.99% of people that have come before me. So I imagine I have something to offer. Let's hope so.

Hi Guys:

Some of you may know me from BHU. I'v been doing SEO for three years, more recently I'v gotten into gray-blackhat things. I look forward to learning everything I can here.

and of course I'd be more than happy to share my progress and case studies with you all.

Yesss! Moar of this! case studies are my favorite. Thanks for joining and bringing your experience and knowledge.

I'm spending a lot of my time at the moment focusing on on-page factors and testing those factors..

That's the thing everyone forgets. If you can get most of the way with just on-page then you've saved yourself a ton of money/work in links. Ryuzaki shared a ton of information the other day... let me find the link.

It had a lot of things I hadn't considered before. Worth a read. Do you know any more secrets? *rubs greedy hands together*

You sound like you have a great attitude. No ego, just reality. It's refreshing  Very glad to have you here. A true veteran too

Hey all,

Hope that grabbed your attention. It's true. Over the past few years I have had a few small successes. More recently though, I launched a Wordpress plugin. It was exhilarating.

In less than 24 hours I had both made and lost $700 dollars. Long story short: my plugin is in the 'seo' niche. The payment processor I was using doesn't allow those. They refunded all of my customers.

Truly one of the most stressful situations I have ever been in. Why tell you this? It isn't to brag. It isn't to shamelessly promote my product (which does rock btw).

It has to do with what this forum is to become. A place for marketers to learn from each other; to keep each of us at our best.

So lesson learned: Do your research on payment processors before launch day.

More personally though. About me: I'm 24 years old. Father of two beautiful daughters and married to the woman of my dreams. I'm a youth pastor to a great group of teens. I'm an IT manager at my families computer business (think Geek Squad without taking advantage of people).

Great to digitally meet you all!

I think I've seen your plugin around. The RSS one. It's a solid idea!

That sucks. I hope you had server side validation or your customers had the heart to pay you again so you got most of that money back for your software that they are getting use out of. That's a sucky story but a cheap learning experience and a good story.

Best of luck with your plugin moving forward

Hi Vince. Sorry to hear about that ordeal it must have been devastating to have that first day of sales and think "I've... I've done it!!!" just to have it disappear. Guaranteed someone is going to be launching something some day and they're going to remember your story and they're going to double and triple check their processors, so good on ya for sharing it.

Ooh nice share, I'm sure at some point soon I'll put together a post on what's working for me at the moment

Totally agree though, get on-page right and you save a lot of resources! It would shock most people I'm sure!

Hey all,

Buildersociety.com seems to be the new hangout, so thought I would get involved as it's only right

I've been in many aspects of online and digital marketing over the last 5 years but now i seem to have found my space more in SEO.

I am not advanced by no means hence why I am here to learn, but with that been said I know how to generate traffic and monetize sites well.

I hope I can bring that here and at the same time learn and make new friends :-)

Peace The Pacman
