STDDIOT - Stuff That Doesn't Deserve Its Own Thread

Wasn't there a "Website Flippers guild" thread? If not, there should be. There's a lot to discuss about selling websites, timing, earning point etc-

So Ahrefs took its first tangible step today towards becoming a future search engine

Speaking of Ahrefs' impending search engine, Apple has been updating it's Applebot support page and crawling a ton lately. They've added "how to verify traffic from Applebot", talked about the useragent and robots.txt, said they now not only crawl HTML but also render pages, and talk about search factors and rankings. It might be getting spicy out there soon.

Hmmm....

I like that idea, a lot.

A privacy first search engine from a company that already has a market to push its search engine to AND an already excellent voice recognition system.

Might be time to invest in some overpriced Apple stock huh?

^I'm glad this video was recorded, so much perspective.

Well this is weird, a fair few google products seem to have gone offline.

Within the last 15mins, gmail, google ads, dv360 and campaign manager all went offline.

Edit: ...aannndddddd we're back

Rate my cable management setup:

Well, you have that velcro cable tie, so you've got that going for you!

The last time I moved, I created a giant to-do list. By giant, I mean like... I dusted every single item I owned. Went through every piece of clothing, etc. The final to-do item on the list was "cable management" and somehow I never did it.

I had left my desk away from the wall with the intention of not having cables on the ground so that I could easily vacuum back there. I never did it and all it became was a play area for my cat. He liked to sprint behind the desk through the jungle of cables or lay back there.

2 years later, I put this computer together which finally inspired me to do the dreaded cable management. Somehow I had turned it into this monumental mental obstacle, but within 30 minutes I had it done perfectly. And it was all due to those velcro wraps with little loops on the end. I broke nearly every loop, but the velcro part made it so easy.
