If anyone uses WorkFlowy (https://workflowy.com/) but doesn't want their data stored in the cloud there is an open source version called Flowy available at GitHub: https://github.com/suyash/flowy
The decent thing about WorkFlowy though is it has an iOS (https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/workflowy-note-list-outline/id551139514?mt=8) and Android (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.workflowy.android) APP so you workflow syncs across multiple devices.
There are also Desktop versions: https://workflowy.com/downloads/
