What is the best way to find word count of all posts ranking in top 10 in SERP?

I generally tend to write an article on a specific topic/keyword by analyzing the word count of people ranking in the top 10. Currently, I do that by visiting each link in SERP and note it down. And I try to be above the average of top 5.

What kind of practice do you follow? And any specific chrome plugin to do this?

I have been playing with this newer tool. It takes top 50 sites. It’s like Cora but easier to understand.

It's very easy to scrape and get the content with Python or PHP, but I struggle to separate all text from main content.
