Got Some Huge Haters Because of my site...

Sorry if this was mentioned already, but have you considered making a post in the subreddit asking people for insight? Something along the lines of "I'm passionate about X and I want to write better content about it, could you guys tell me what I'm doing wrong"

This is all assuming you are posting content other than yours, otherwise that is all they'll end up mentioning
 
Each sub on Reddit has it's own culture or meta, but one thing the majority don't like is blatant self promotion.

A lot of subreddits have rules against it, but it sounds like you may have found one that doesn't expressly forbid it but yet the user base still get's all salty about it.

You might want to back off on linking your own content for a while and focus on making contributions that fit into the "meta" and are well received by the community. After you regain their trust you can start slipping in some of your own content occasionally but ensure it's relevant.
