Hey guys,

I wanted to see your opinion on this. For those who don't know, now when you want to like something you can hower over the "Like" button and use Reactions instead of simply just liking.

I think it's a great thing. More ways for users to interact with your content on facebook, opens ways for more controversial things to go viral with the 'angry' face. In theory anyway this should be a good thing for marketers.

As long as there's an API to show 'total reactions' it's all good

It's too "buzz-feedy" for my taste, but... it's a good lesson on virality. Aim for one of those emotions, or better yet two, and tie in anticipation, and boom.

Still no dislike...

In before people start saying "haha"s are strong SEO social signals.

I don't think Facebook will ever add a dislike button. They want it to be a safe place, so people feel encouraged to share and keep coming back. Add a "dislike" option and it changes that dynamic.

Mentioned in a Skype group the other day.. talk about an emotion databank. That much data on a user's likes and dislikes. Holy smokes.
