Hi builders!

My name is Momenul. I’ve been in the SEO and Fullstack game for a while (based in Bangladesh).

I joined to learn from the veterans here, but I wanted to kick off by sharing a recent win/experiment I ran. I realized that static blog content wasn't holding user attention long enough, so I built an "Exam Hub" on my site to let users test their knowledge on Google Algorithms and GA4.

The Tech Stack:
  • Frontend: Custom HTML/JS
  • Backend: Google Firebase (Firestore)
The Result:
Since launching the exams, my Firebase usage shot up to 5.1k reads and 1k writes in a few days. It seems that people have a psychological need to "prove" they know their stuff.

I'm curious—has anyone else here had success replacing standard lead magnets (PDFs) with interactive tools like quizzes or calculators?

Looking forward to contributing more
Here is the usage spike from my console:

That’s cool what you’re building and that you’re building. Seems like great social media bait to get them to your site. There’s a lot of niches where this seems to work good like psychology and astrology.

But I definitely don’t like the “give us your email to get your results” aspect because those types of quizzes are pretty high on the funnel. That’s me as a user. I imagine there’s a lot of immediate unsubscribing going on which is fine. But if your quizzes (and they seem to) more closely align with your offer it could be good. Shifting from “test your knowledge” to “buy this solution to your knowledge gaps” makes sense.
