Hey guys, it’s been a while! Over a year to be exact. Glad to see this place is still going.
I got sick of hustling for no money and went and got a job which I enjoy, and I’ve enjoyed spending my evenings relaxing and doing what I want. It’s been so long since I got to do that.
But, now I have the itch again and want to start building. I switched jobs so that I only work nights, and now I have my days to focus on building something. With a decent job, there is no pressure and I am actually enjoying it again.
I’ve still dabbled in some things over the year, here’s what I have been up to:
Facebook Pages
I started a few Facebook pages, it’s actually really easy to grow a page cheaply using ads. I’m finding it hard to monetise though, the FB audience is just there for the giggles.
TikTok Channels
I also have a few of these. Again, it’s so easy to get followers even without ads, but hard to monetise.
Email Lists
I’ve started a couple of lists and this is what I’m going to focus on. I haven’t quite found the niche yet, but I’m enjoying the process of learning and experimenting. I remember 10 years ago people would say “the money is in the list.” I wish I’d listened to them.
The plan going forward is to use all these different channels to funnel people into an email list. I’m not sure how I’m going to monetise or what the niche will be, all I know is I’m going to have fun doing it!
Plus, AI has made brainstorming and planning so much easier. There really is no excuse now not to be building an online business.
What’s everyone else doing these days? Is anyone having success now that SEO is finally dead?
