I don't have an answer about table top stories but I always liked this comic strip. Goes from #71, linked here, to #76.

I always got a kick out of Perry Bible Fellowship too. I need to catch up, it's been years. But it's fun to start at the first one and move to the most recent, and see how all the different art styles and joke styles evolve.
