So someone used A.I. to reverse engineer Adobe's full suite of APPs: Photoshop, Illustrator, PDF Editing, even threw in a Word Document editor, and released it for free:

It's called Get Art Craft: https://getartcraft.com/apps

This isn't GiMP, They put some work in this, they got it feeling like photoshop:

Adobe needs to shut this shit down. But it's already too late assholes.

But this is a continuation of my Ray Ray's Weapons N Firearms thread, someone with enough time is coming for any and everyone's necks.

So now anyone with a thought can take on massive software companies while eating Cheetos in their mom's basement.

But I warned everyone this is coming. You got a good idea, someone's going to be coming for your neck.

"There is a man in a cave that is training for the day that he has to fight you. He has no running water, no medicine, no gym, and no girlfriend. Someday you will face him in the field of battle and if you do not train for that day he will defeat you.

While you shitpost on the internet and masturbate to chinese cartoons and consume thrice your daily caloric requirement, the man in the cave continues to prepare for the inevitable day of battle."

So now what do we do? Can't create software someone will clone it. IN FACT, check this out:

So this dude created this software for Mac that converts files. This dude thought he was going to get his little $24.99, probably 100 sales a week, about $3K a week in revenue - the App only works for 20 uses, and then you have to pay.

NOPE. Think again asshole, some dudes in the comment section cloned it and put it on github:

Mac version: https://github.com/RealAdii/shift-convert

Windows version: https://github.com/Maxaccurate/ZestDrop

Wow. Just Wow.

Imagine you took a 1-3 months of your life to built a little software project and these assholes clone it within hours.

We're back to the pirating software era like it's 1999. This is it boys. I'm talking about before Pirate Bay. I'm talking about KeyGenerators, Astalavista search, MP3 downloads through IRC channels. We're going back to that era.

Now, imagine going to one of those website that publish new software/saases daily for people to try out. I can't recall the name of them, but the one where they give you lifetime deals for buying the one-time package, and just cloning everything that looks good and dropping the price $10. See I can still teach you how to make money here.

So how does someone trying to make online money escape this?

Exclusivity, even if it's just the appearance of it.

Gap and Louis Vuitton both sell purses. Their price ranges are vastly different - they do the same thing. However that's looking at it from a purely functional standpoint. LV is a luxury statement to show the world and showcase who you are. It's that exclusivity. And this type of selling requires creativity like I was talking about in the Ray Ray thread.

But I'm going to have to leave you here, the king tide flood waters are coming into the lobby and I'm on mop duty for my night shift job.

From the deep deep trenches...

The nerds are fighting back: BLA: Blind LLM Agents. It's going to be cat and mouse game now.

This is really stupid of them.

Ok, I'll point my Claude/Codex/Qwen/GLM to this BLA repo, learn everything about it.. make a 2nd brain on it... and then build my REA and other reverse enginner agents to look out for it and how to overcome it.

This is why I stopped posted to Github and sharing knowledge in the general public.

Complete waste of time sharing it to the public now. It's essentially worthless now as a tool.

Some of these people haven't had their "duh" moment yet.

This might be a dumb question but why would need to figure out most APPs at the binary level? If you know what the feature does, wouldn't it be easy to describe it to the A.I. and go from there? Maybe something like applying a blur to an image, a function like that you can see the edge advantage that Adobe has, but for most functions their end result isn't proprietary?

I saw a Tweet or something along the line of a guy talking about Airtable and a company doing the cloning thing. For Airtable once you use it for a while you can understand the advantages and how things work. You can then easily describe it, be as detailed as possible and then make your own version.

The guy was told by his client, a corporation, that they didn't want to pay the monthly fee to Airtable, so they told him to clone it (Not with A.I. though). However in doing so they had to have him maintain the custom version, and that's been costing them more than it would have to simply buy a subscription since he was a outside contract worker.

Now that company is stuck with a maintenance fee higher than the subscription that they had to pay and eventually the contractor and client will part ways at some point and they'll have to jump on Airtable anyway. So simply clone an APP doesn't mean anything if you aren't doing the updates/maintenance/fixing security flaws, it's literally a full time job depending on the APP.

Now an APP like the Tangerine one above where there is probably going to be little updates cause the features are pretty much set, cloning that is rather easy.

But still I can't see why would anyone need to read the binary data to figure out how an APP works and clone it - at least for most APPs.

Same -

But I also have to realize, most people aren't at the level we are. I have to remind myself this daily.

And Im not talking about Ai or code. I mean just "in life".

20 years ago, if I didn't know how to code ( and didnt have Ai ) - same principle. Get the app, see what it does, write it down, give it to a programmer. Maybe give them a video of it too.

The person should be able to figure it out.

Same with real estate. Watch someone else purchase a home, fix it up, rent it and notice they improved the equity and cashed out the increased equity, while still renting it.

Seems simple, right?

But we all know SOMEONE in our lives that if you explained the RE example above they would be lost and ask 20,000 more unrelated questions about it.

I think that's what we are dealing with now with vibe coders and people who have no real place in coding and creating things these days. They're the people in the RE example who wouldnt have got the RE example, asked 20,000 unrelated questions, and tripped on their own objections that are made up in their head.

We've basically gave those people, the ability to code now... who couldn't figure out how to reproduce Airtable with Ai last year, but think this HYPE machine of REA and other tools will do it for them.

I rank it up there with the HYPE now days of people calling themselves "Forward engineer" in the tech space that took over the last 9 months.

We live in a world of constant HYPE. Always have, its just 30x worse now. And the dumb just keep eating it up because the content creators and wanna be influencers have learned it makes them money to be the first to HYPE something, even if its worthless.

Khabane Lame was a good example of showcasing how dumb most things people HYPE now.
