How Does Reddit Detect Previously Banned Users?

Reddit not uses somethingcalled CQS to filter spam posters out.

It's not pretty much impossible to use new reddit accounts to post, all it takes is the CQS considering you a spam account and even very old accounts can no longer post across Reddit without getting posts removed by the filters.

It automatically flags any used IP to your old accounts if you don't wait for 100 days.
 
Hi I am a former Reddit mod and I wanted to let you guys know about how their sub specific ban evasion tool works from our end. You can choose lengths of time for detecting ban evasion and the longest option is 1 year. There is also 6 months etc. so it depends on what the mods choose whether or not you will be detected in a specific sub you were banned from for ban evasion. Some subs may not have the tool employed but I am sure most do. This is not about sitewide bans. I'm only speaking of when you are banned from a particular subreddit. I just wanted to share that info. I quit Reddit after they stopped allowing 3rd party apps. They are invasive psychos and the site is a cesspool. Anyone know of better ones (don't say Quora)?

The only thing Reddit had going for it was anonymity. It's useless without that.
 
I think Reddit catches you from your device fingerprinting, plus a combination of other factors including cookies and IP and probably behavioral - I just asked chat GPT and they told me all of this and how to bypass it. But I got good advice from someone on Reddit and did that...it's already been suggested here, using one of those anti-fingerprinting browsers.

What about deleting your banned accounts first? Also either scrambling or deleting the posts first, then deleting the entire accounts. Has anyone tried that too? I couldn't read the entire thread it's already 11 pages, but in the initial pages some of the posts stated that they were still logging into their banned accounts, so they were still active. It's just better to get rid of it all if your appeals don't work. Seems like the appeal is automated too along with the bans. With your banned accounts still active, it's way easier for their AI to connect you by behavioral ways. Also, stay away from the subs that banned you.
 
In case people here are not aware, Reddit moderation is now automated. One can get strikes and bans without anyone reporting your comment/post. The automod system seems particularly sensitive towards "threats of violence" and "racism". I have received several strikes so far because the automod decided I was "threatening violence" or engaging in "hate speech".
 
I was just permanently banned sitewide by reddit 2 days ago, and the reason for my ban? I was calling out a racist for saying vile shit like "your country is cancer on earth" and "we should delete your kind from the world". that person got mad and reported me for "harassment". I appealed and they replied saying my content was NOT in violation of reddit rules and the ban was lifted. However less than 20 minutes later it was permanently banned again with the reason "multiple violations on your accounts", which was nonsensical. first of all I do not have "multiple violations" and the violation I had was removed by the appeal decision. secondly I did not even post anything in the 20 minutes between the ban lift and the second ban. and my only other account was a throwaway that I made years ago to ask some questions about bedbugs, that's all, what violations??? I appealed again and said this ban made no sense, and they replied saying after reviewing, they decided not to grant my appeal and the ban will stay in place. Utterly ridiculous! Oh and the best part? the vile person was not banned and is still free to spew his nonsense.

I use the Brave Browser (a must for not leaving fingerprints). I also change IP addresses using my Router Control -- take about 1-3 days, and get a new account. ---- ITS A PIA, but there are some forums on Reddit that are very good for hobbiest. --- ITS power hunger Redditor mod that enjoy banning peeps.
 
Reddit's automated moderation system is so cancerous. First of all, Reddit has a "4 strike rule". Strike 1 is a warning. Strike 2 is a 3-day ban. Strike 3 is a 7-day ban. Strike 4 is the permanent ban.

On my most recent account, my warning strike was for "threatening violence". The frustrating thing is that the AI gave me a strike for spelling out "blown the fuck out" (BTFO). My 3-day strike was also a "threatening violence" strike because I responded to a person who mentioned a crazy ex-girlfriend who swallowed Drano, and I commented saying that he should have let the Drano take its course. And now my 7-day strike happened because I used the word "trannie" in a comment, and Reddit's wretched AI decided I was being "hateful".

I am so tired of Reddit's bullshit. But, like "Balkans" above me said, there are subreddits I want/need to engage with. Whether I need to ask for help on certain topics, have thoughtful discussions on topics I like, or just to have fun joining in shitposting trends.

LOL... I just got banned for expressing an opinion on a Business forum (nothing to do with Racism, politics or Social Science comments). --- I told someone on a business forum to 'not waste their time chasing poor prospects' --- some Idiot took offense to that and 'prodded me to change' my opinion. --- I refused and got banned.... FUK REDDIT --- I'm back on with another ID!
