I've been playing around with Thrive Leads for a few hours now. I probably missed out on at least 1K email subscribes through leaks last month because I was using a really poorly optimized email capture form.

With this site I've been extremely concerned about site image - no pop-ups, no annoying ads, only useful content, etc. I just implemented a bottom right hand slide-in box for desktop, but for mobile Thrive turns this into a type of lightbox pop-up which I didn't want. Since 80% of my traffic is mobile, mobile email submits are the priority for me. Bite the bullet and set the mobile pop-up with a delay? Tips for mobile optimizing email subs?

I'm not sure but I agree. I'm not a fan of pop-ups, welcome mats, overlays, or any of that. Especially on mobile. I'd at least make sure they get cookied when they click the X button or submit so it doesn't pop up on them again later.
