I'm not trying to make a point or anything, I think it was a great campaign and ALS did an excellent job of capitalizing on the craze while it lasted.

I saw that on Reddit the other day. Those short lived but hugely responsive marketing campaigns can make a person very rich. Not in this case but you know. Unless ALS is one of those organizations who only gives like 5% of the contributions to the cause.
