Hi - I am considering launching a affiliate site, I do quite well with a few of these, they pay the bills and rent but not like some of the numnbers I see here.

I have found a niche I really like and want to give it a go but one thing that is causing me to hesitate a lot is if I should use a .technology domain. It would work really well for the niche and also has a perfect keyword (and branded) URL but the bottom line is I have never seen a .technology in the serps and I have never ranked a site that is not a .com - has anyone had any success with .techology domains?

I used to spam and use 1000s of .xyz and I never regarded anything other than .com or other main domains as "serious".

Can anyone give me any pointers or reassurance before I kick this one off?

In short, I would recommend staying away from anything that isn't a dot com, especially if your end goal is to create an asset worth $$$. Nobody outside of the digital scene sees a domain like .technology and think "wow, I really trust this website".
