Meh. Just get a proper NAS like Synology. Then you can have RAID 1 and not lose all your data if your disk dies. Plus some other nice features.

Looks like this will work for someone that already have purchased storage without cloud capabilities. Almost all new personal storage now devices come with cloud option by default and it might be cheaper too.
