I completely agree with the idea of starting small and niching down because it is the best way for a new creator or business to avoid competing directly with massive authority sites that dominate the broader markets. Building a topical authority in a tiny sub-niche allows you to build momentum and gain confidence without feeling overwhelmed by giant competitors. Once you dominate that small corner of the web, expanding outwards feels like a natural and much less risky next step for your brand.Depends a lot on how much time and budget you've got. starting small and niche is usually easier to actually rank for and build authority in, plus it's less overwhelming when you're figuring things out. broader topics take longer to gain traction but give you more room to grow without hitting a ceiling as fast.
I'd say niche down at first, get some traction, then expand once you know what's working.
