Hope you're doing well.
Recently began running creatives for a new client in the CBD / THCA space. They offered me a lucrative cash-only salary and almost UNLIMITED budget (with certain constraints) on running paid media.
We launched on X and within the first 2-months of launch we're getting 25-40+ new customer orders per day. Took weeks and tons of headache, restricted ads, and a complete restructuring of our creative process.
But we made it.
With the success found on X, our new plan is to target Meta.
The next final-level boss.
They are notorious for bans, restrictions, and making you rip your hair out. That's exactly what I've been dealing with in the first two weeks of running ads on there. And we haven't even spent over $100/day yet.
Does anyone have any experience and tips on running grey / black hat Meta ads with THCA / CBD?
It's normal for ads to get restricted - reformat, go vanilla, clean as possible - then relaunch.
It's an easy fix.
We cloak all of our landing pages (after a lot of trouble on X) and make sure we're as compliant as possible. We're in the business of working WITH the ad platforms - not against. There is no reason to get disabled and banned when we can run clean, simple funnels.
However, we are facing pixel issues. Namely, our pixel already got restricted even though we cloaked our site via middle landing pages.
I submitted the domain for approval and as a result they restricted our pixel (claiming our website doesn't comply), which it doesn't. Perhaps I'm missing something.
How do companies and you get around these issues?
And also, any other ideas you have for running long-term, clean ad accounts for Meta?
