If you can buy “xreviews.com” and “bestxreviews.com” what would you buy? Would you bother redirecting one to the other?
Many kws are “best brand x” and “best x for y”

Aged domains not being an option lol (not available in the niche)

You don't need to have keywords in the domain you are trying to rank. If I was to start a new website (with a brand new domain) - I would just make sure the domain is easy to spell and has a catchy name (preferably with something in the niche) so that users can remember it.

In your case, I would buy xreviews.com. I wouldn't bother buying both and redirecting one to another (because they are both new and they have no history, authority for a redirect to have any effect)
