I've been working on a simple strategy to reach out to website owners that need SEO, for several years now.

These aren't just random websites I found online on page 7 for a term and then think to myself.. "gee these guys suck and need my help".

Nope.

These are people that know the value of SEO and are now hurting due to any number of factors. People who have noticed a drop in website visitors and eyeballs.

I have too many of these cold leads to reach out to myself. I can't possibly sell SEO marketing to them all and do all the follow-ups and cold emailing to pitch them SEO and how I know they are missing out on website visits.

So I am looking for someone I can offload these to. Totally free every week.

But I don't wanna find out 3 weeks later you haven't been reaching out and contacting them because you got "too busy" on other things. I need someone that understands cold reach out, and can devote time to it each week.

Or else, why bother sending them to you each week?

I'll give you the URL and even ( if I can get it, sometimes I can't ) the name and email address of the contacts there. Anything past that, is up to you if you wanna grab the phone number, social media channels, etc for reach out on your own.

Anyone up for the offload?

I'm actually in a similar boat as @mcfarlanek, I think the issue is that we've both never done client SEO work, so zero idea about scoping/billing/pricing/communication, etc.

Sometimes in my head I'm thinking it wouldn't be bad to have a client or two just for diversity, because I do have the bandwidth. But zero knowledge on what to charge, how to filter them, how to set budgets etc.

I guess the key is just getting started and figuring it out as you go. Like affiliate sites. No way you'll have it perfectly down beforehand.

Right. Just jump in and adjust.

You can't wait to go on vacation only when all the stoplights in front of you are perfectly lined up and "green" at the same time. If you did, you'd never get anywhere.

If you want to know what to charge... estimate ( not perfect ) the number of hours it will take to do the job. Then multiply those hours by some base rate you would have earned in a job.

As you go along, you will figure it out on what needs to change.

The client will also push you into what they want as well.

It's easy

For me it’s actually about who does the actual work for the client once you have them. Do you outsource, use white label services or do everything yourself.

Why dont you try all of them?

Start by doing it yourself, so you can write SOPs

Then outsource it to someone on Fiverr or Upwork

When you get large enough, keeping outsourcing or go whitelabel and hand it off to an agency that whitelabels.

There is no set path or journey to success that everyone is copying. You just go out and do it and figure it out along the way

thanks @eliquid for the response and simplified way of looking at it.

Sometimes we make things more complicated because of the unknown. I just need to stop making excuses and get to work.

Hey @eliquid

Sent you a PM but we'll take the SEO leads on a long term basis. As mentioned in my PM, I developed systems for my business and got things running where I can be pretty much hands off so looking to get back into client work.

Thanks.

I'll be sending these out a bit later, maybe the last week of the year or the first week of 2023 just so everyone know.

Will be OOO for a while and will get back to everyone once back.

Hi!

I'd be more than glad to accept this generous offer! I genuinely believe I have the time and resources.

Have I arrived too late to accept the offer? hahaha
