We have a Russian site that we're trying to rank but it doesn't rank in Yandex at all. Any help would be appreciated.

I did a fairly long time ago, anything in particular you think might be causing it?
Is it registered with https://webmaster.yandex.com/ and are there any error messages appearing?
Also if it's a local business you can submit it to their 'maps' version @ https://yandex.ru/sprav/main

Onpage is key there. Calculate actual KW densities in page elements that your competition is using (top 3, top 5, top 10), replicate that plus add a little extra, and let the site re-index. After a certain time (±1 month) the site should be re-evaluated and will supposedly jump up if you did everything right.
Source: extended family member running a digital agency in Russia told me that and he said it's all really straightforward. YMMV.
