Has this site ever been hit with a Google Core Algorithm update?
Yes, the site has been hit a few times and always recovered in long run. The huge spike in traffic is from November - December shopping events.

What did you do to recover most of the traffic?
Updated old posts, added new content and did a bit of link building here and there.

How can you make this website grow once recovered?
Links are the biggest thing holding this website back. Increasing authority through more links and content will increase not only traffic but earnings too.
A professional website design is also recommended to increase average engagement time.
Growing the email list and push subscribers is highly recommended. Everyone knows the value of these kinds of lists. With enough subscribers, you can make a lot of sales.

NB: I will send interested parties proof of income since I can't fit everything here.

Couple quick questions that others may want answered too (thanks!):
  • How many posts are published?
  • What's the roundabout average word count of the posts?
  • On the analytics graph, why did the traffic go to zero a few times? Analytics tag removed?

1. 417 post published on the site.
2. Average word count is 1200.
3. Analytics was removed and replaced with GA4 analytics. Also I put the old analytics back for a few months and removed it again.
