How does BuilderSociety have so many links according to Moz?

669 referring domains. for all those backlinks I have still not figured out why people track backlinks instead of referring domains. I see people refer to backlinks all the time. A site-wide link in one referring domain can give you millions of backlinks. Am I missing something?

    $3M~ Website Sale, AMA

Hello! Can you also give us more insight into how the deal was structured? Was there an earn-out/seller's note? If so, roughly what percentage the earn-out was from the total sum? Thanks.

Hundreds of hand coded AMZ links....FML

Not a bad move when you are the seller. Many buyers are not as smart as MrMedia. They will never know to replace links that don't have tracking ID visible. This means this seller can continue to reap passive income from a sold website. If it was 7 figure flip then the passive revenue could be...

5 Lessons From 7 Figure Exit & More [AMA]

I attribute the non-outreach links mostly to the linkbaits starting to rank for keywords and getting a new wave of visitors. Not sure about the ratio, but the links without outreach are usually from strong websites so each is very valuable.

5 Lessons From 7 Figure Exit & More [AMA]

Citationlabs.com has a lot of great information on outreach & linkbait. It was a numbers game after linkbaits are published. I sent about 10,000 outreach messages during the first 1-1.5 years which netted me around 400 niche relevant links.

5 Lessons From 7 Figure Exit & More [AMA]

Buyer guides were 3000-6000 words, reviews about 1000, and regular articles 1000-2000 words. Usually 10 hours for a large buyer guide. Hourly. Yes, small mistakes came up from time to time in the beginning. Most of the mistakes were subjective like image choice etc or not clear enough...

5 Lessons From 7 Figure Exit & More [AMA]

My earn-out experience has been from the 2 earn-out offers I have received and conversations with brokers when the website was listed for sale. There are also a variety of different structures, the most popular seems to be an earn-out, but there is also a seller's note. Regarding the...

5 Lessons From 7 Figure Exit & More [AMA]

I'm not really a YOLO or bitcoin kind of a guy, so I will invest in index funds, real estate, or maybe online businesses instead. Work-wise I would like to change things up and try to work for some startups/interesting companies to get new experiences and then create another business down the...

5 Lessons From 7 Figure Exit & More [AMA]

For me, the niche choice was a natural progression. I started getting into online marketing when I had like $500 to work with so I decided to choose a sub-niche of large vertical to have a chance of success. I chose the sub-niche that wasn't too difficult for me to write articles on and products...

5 Lessons From 7 Figure Exit & More [AMA]

Since your questions are the first ones I have plenty of energy to answer all of them. Yes, organic accounted for like 90% of the traffic. 90% organic and the rest were direct or referral. Upwork has worked for me. I have like 8-12 writers who are all experts in different topics in my niche...

    Introductions Thread

When your friends and family ask you the question of "And how much money are you making?" just reply as honestly as possible. If you make $50 or $100 a month while putting in 100% effort and savings then say it. Some friends & family will secretly laugh, but some people will admire your...

    Introductions Thread

Hello and welcome to the forum! I used to be in a similar situation of not knowing anyone around me being an entrepreneur or working on an online business. The decision to tell your friends or relatives is highly subjective because there can be so many different emotions and details at play...

BuSo.. Am I Getting Screwed On A 7-Figure Deal?

Thanks for all the answers! Especially @MrMedia and @Ryuzaki for sharing their concrete experiences. Also to @Philip J. Fry for putting things into perspective. I think the answer here is obvious and I will proceed with agreeing to the cut-off date. So, that part of the question is dealt with...

BuSo.. Am I Getting Screwed On A 7-Figure Deal?

Hello all, Would love to get insights from all of you on the following problem. Especially those who have experience with high six and low 7 figure exits like @Tavin , @MrMedia , @stackcash , @eliquid Short version: Is it the standard of the industry that after the date of signing an asset...

Amazon Associates Removing OneTag and Content Insights

Why, lol? It's super useful, for example, if I have 150 buyer guides on the site, I know exactly Amazon clicks, products ordered, AOV and revenue for each buyer guide in a month. I have got some great strategical insights from this information to help me do my keyword research for next buyer...

Amazon Associates Removing OneTag and Content Insights

You can create separate tracking ID's for pages, that's what I do. I don't know if there is a limit to how many tracking ID's you can add, I currently have over 150.

    Places to Sell Websites

I have sold two sites one with Empire Flippers. The last one was six figures. Both times the buyers have been new to the online business world. When you have an affiliate monetized content site then the selling process is relatively straight forward. I did not even need to have a call with...

    Another large affiliate site acquisition...

Hello guys, I remember some years ago we had an interesting discussion in this forum when Wirecutter was acquired for $30 million. Is a Macbook worth getting? (I'd like to fit in)

I hope you are joking about fitting in with girls at cafes. If not, I would try to do some self-examination and try to get rid of such a belief. After that, you can objectively write down your requirements, needs, budget for a new computer and then do a lot of internet research based on that or...
