Amazon traffic and incentives to sign up?

Using the Cuisinart example, there are over 1,000+ reviews ... start digging through them and find out the common "good" and "bad" people write about it. Compile a list of all the data points, durability, ease of use, functionality, common issues, etc. What specific foods did they use it for...

Changes Coming To Amazon Affiliate Commission Rates

As an Amazon seller, my perspective is a little different I guess. Honestly, I'm surprised their rates are still as high as they are. A lot of physical goods are only in the 20-30% profit range and there is a hell of a lot more capital risk and headaches involved. I see those 7-8% rates on...

NYT buys Wirecutter for $30 Million

Too late to edit but I see what you are calculating now. Sounds like they are going to start pushing this a little more: "Other revenues are expected to increase in the high-teens largely from the impact of the Wirecutter business we acquired early in the fourth quarter."

NYT buys Wirecutter for $30 Million

Where are you getting $4M? Their consolidated Q4 statement has a line item with "Other" (c) at $28.6M (c) Other revenues consist primarily of revenues from affiliate referrals, news services/syndication, digital archives, rental income, our NYT Live business and e-commerce.

NYT buys Wirecutter for $30 Million

I see NYT reported Q4 earnings couple of weeks ago. They stated Wirecutter and Sweethome did $29 Million in revenue during the qtr. http://finance.yahoo.com/news/edited-transcript-nyt-earnings-conference-221650018.html "Early in the quarter we acquired The Wirecutter and The Sweethome home...

    Amazon Associates "Hack"

Unless it's supplied by Amazon I wouldn't customize it. Amazon is very clear about this in their policies. https://affiliate-program.amazon.com/help/operating/policies 4. You may display an Amazon Mark only in the exact format in which we provide it to you. You may not alter any Amazon Mark...

    Amazon Associates "Hack"

I wish I could hit the "like" button x100 on this reply  If you spend the time creating content better for the visitor than your competitors you won't have to waste time thinking about or trying to implement these bogus "hacks".

    Experience buying domains at auction?

It certainly helps to start off with an existing domain that is aged and has been indexed for a few years with a good backlink profile. Definitely not a requirement though. A fresh domain can compete in the SERPs with the right links.

    I lost... now what?

I am puzzled how this industry can have only one service provider. Are you saying because it's constrained by geography? I'd install Adsense on there and just see what advertisers pop-up. Might give you some alternative ideas.

    Amazon PPC

Are all these low CPC's coming from your Auto targeting campaigns or have you being able to replicate that with Manual as well? What is the general price range for those products? The product that I am selling generally falls between the $25 - $60 price range.

    Amazon PPC

My Average CPC for January was $1.23 (Manual and Auto Campaign) I actually put a cap at $2 CPC but that could easily bust through. Not sure what you are selling but I would be rolling in euphoria with $.02 - $0.10 bids, LOL. I couldn't even get any impressions when I started at $.50 CPC

Lot of good, basic info here on reverse engineering FB campaigns (for free). https://adespresso.com/academy/blog/spy-facebook-ads/ Just clicking on their ad and selecting “Why am I seeing this?” will give you some insight. You’ll get at least one key insight, and possibly more, on how...

Amz purchases on $70-100 items showing up as 0.01???

Why is selling this particular item below normal price not a smart move? Is there Minimum Advertised Pricing (MAP) with this product? I agree with others that it's likely a promotional code created by the seller to help gain reviews.
