I know that in the SEO community at large, and especially here, people are trying to build authority sites and pouring all their resources into one or two sties. I see the sense in it and understand the reasoning behind it.
But is there anyone out there still on the micro niche site model? I...
Does A2 Hosting offer WHM or Cpanel? If they do I'd just set up the plugin that sets up the cron jobs for Let's Encrypt SSL.
Yeah that sounds horrible, trusting a service to set up the 301's instead of doing it in .htaccess or whatever Nginx config has.
Is it a complete nightmare to set up? I'd like it for the header bidding but it's extremely intimidating, probably because there's such little information or tutorials on the web.
But isn't it saying that they treat subdomains as different "1st party domains," so passing information around from one service to another might goof it up, even if both are Google?
The opening post says that. It must have some effect or they wouldn't have rolled out a new cookie and be doing...
I'm going to show my noobness here. I see Local SEO talked about as if it's different than regular SEO, but I don't really understand why. Here's what I've always thought:
You're going to do your regular SEO stuff like:
On-Page SEO
Links / Social
Technical SEO
But then you're going to add on...
This is something I've wondered about. I've read on here and elsewhere where people talk about their rankings getting a boost after disavowing a lot of low quality links.
Does this mean that some links apply a negative ranking factor? Or is that something with cleaning up the anchor text...
@Ryuzaki, we were right. I got two links with exact match anchor texts and popped back to the middle to bottom of page 1. Maybe a couple more will seal the deal. I'm hesitant to go too hard with it but YOLO. This page has tons of links, it should be fine.
This makes me wonder what the future of computer screens will be. 21:9 is the perfect aspect ratio, and you can't get much bigger. I'd like to see more resolution crammed in with actually increasing the digital resolution. Just being able to display more pixels somehow, like smart phones do with...
Okay, what is the deal with Google these days?
I had a page in the top 3 and it's slowly fallen to the top of page 2. During this fall, I invested a couple thousand in guest post links to see it not budge at all. The only thing I can think is maybe my anchor texts got diluted too much, so I...
I saw the same in Search Console when they rolled out the new design. Maybe they decided to stop hiding all of the [redacted] searches or whatever they're calling them. I haven't had time to dig to see if that's what happened but I want to download the historical data if it was retroactive.
It can also mean that of your two pages, the green cars one has more backlinks and power than the blue cars one, enough to help it rank over the blue one for the blue term. I've seen this happen in low competition serps like CCarter is saying, where your site is better than all the rest and it...
Explain what you mean, please. Are you talking about selling slots on playlists and things like that?
I know people are using Spotify like the old EMD days of Google, where they create a ton of artists and record renditions of the same songs with different titles and styles, trying to collect...
Do you guys block hotlinkers? The big complaint for this is stealing bandwidth, but once you have a site trafficked enough its probably a drop in the bucket of your total bandwidth. You probably lose a few legit backlinks but I doubt it stops the majority of reuploading your image and using you...
It's so easy to screw up an entire project over something as basic as using relative URLs. I've been doing this for years now and still screw up relative URLs. "Should I use the forward slash up front or not? Do I use one period or two up front?"
The only reason I haven't destroyed a lot of CSS...
@tyealia, there's no SEO benefit involved with either choice. Even if someone types the wrong one and gets redirected, Google will pick that up and index the correct one.
As far as people, I don't care for the same reason. They end up at the right place. I've not had a redirect take half of a...
I looked into this once and just did again to confirm. Outbrain's revenue share with publishers in 50%, with click through rates around 0.50% - 0.75%, with an estimated revenue per mille at 35¢ to $1.10 USD.
Of course your results may vary. I never ended up using them because I realized I...
That theme is cool. I like how they even edited the Wordpress dashboard CSS. You could install it on a subfolder under your main site and manage it separately but still on the same domain so both parts share their power.
Are you looking to give each provider their own page, or will you list...
"The judge can make time"
I try not to think about time ticking because it makes me anxious to the point where I can't enjoy my time. Relaxing is a huge part of me recharging so I can do better and faster work, but I get so frazzled that I can't relax if I put that kind of pressure on myself.
