Coronavirus Hysteria

Lol, it's hilarious how much people read into an opinion about one single subject and extrapolate it into all kinds of assumptions.

Can't we have a civilized discussion and discuss a topic - and not a person?

Aren't you the same 27 year old sock puppet that less than a year ago couldn't take their side projects and business seriously enough to "treat it like a job" and floundered around with them for 4-5 years because you "thought it was fun" and couldn't find the motivation since you didn't know what a 9-5 job even meant?

Yeah, you prob do the same in other areas of your life too, like decision making skills and whats real vs whats fake.

Have fun on the struggle bus my friend

That is me, yes. I also have a degree in biochemistry.

Eliquid, you've let your ego in business bleed into other aspects of your life that you have no authority to talk about and, on this occasion, it's about how science is researched and conducted.

You can change though. There's still time, even for you.

Have you not done any research into the piss-poor job the W.H.O. did in setting the world up for the best chance at combating this outbreak? They let China get away with whatever they wanted and refused to warn other countries early enough- that's why things are as bad as they are. @eliquid is talking about not putting blind faith into authority figures/corporations just because they have a certain title. It's the same thing with all these #entrepreneur #hustle #grind #investor #girlboss losers on Instagram. Just because someone claims to be an authority on a subject, it doesn't mean they don't suck at what they do and aren't full of crap (which clearly, most are).

Hey Guys. A lot of people have their quarrels with me and I give the same energy back when it's all emotional, non-fact based. However, i think we're seeing a little too much tension on this post. LOL. Lets keep it civil. And for me to have to say that, you know it's bad.

Dont make a place of success, become a stress. Learn to escape unneccesary debates. Especially in this time. Try to be open minded.

And some of you need to put much more respect on the legacy of eLiquid. Legendary guy on the internet. Don't burn yoru bridges, if you haven't made a few million.

I've had multiple names and successes but his username has been 1 for a long time. He's identifiable and certified successful. Food for thought for some of you guppies in this pond.

I'm legit sad that this is turning BuSo members against each other.

It's why I never post politics on here.

There are enough places on the internet to get mad at strangers.

Well, being successful in one industry i.e. online marketing, does not make your opinion about politics or any other subject more or less valid.

I'm not speaking specifically about him here - or anyone else for that matter - but since you brought up the point, I thought I'd address it.

This is a topic on health/politics, on a forum about marketing/dev/making money. People should know that and realize that it's a discussion on the topic and not the person.

People can mean whatever they want, I just don't agree with everyone on this particular subject, it's not personal. A good discussion is always good.

@CCarter Maybe I'm a dork hah but not sure if that's real (obviously see the porn purchases so looking like a joke). Did you really get the stimulus check? If so, how? I want it too, hah.

It's becoming more and more obvious the initial predictions were based on bad data, and were wildly overestimated. Those so-called experts that we're supposed to put blind faith in were way off the mark. Either they suck at their jobs, or it was intentional. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and assume they just suck.

It's also becoming more and more obvious that the biggest long-term damage from this pandemic will be the domino effect created by economic collapse. That could end up costing more lives than the virus, on top of the financial and livelihood ruin it's created.

The conspiracy theorist in the back of my mind wants to say this was a last-ditch effort from the globalists watching Trump, Brexiteers, and the worldwide rise of populism shit all over their plans.

In early Jan, I bought a gas mask. Started feeling pretty stupid about it about 2 weeks ago. With the details of how the Italians are recording "deaths", I think it's pretty safe to say @eliquid is right and this is a tulip style mania.
How long will it take for sanity to return? I wouldn't bet on politicians doing anything that puts their jobs at risk.

So the economic suicide will continue for perhaps weeks or months. Politicians will borrow from the future and vultures will continue to scoop up cheap assets with untold damage done to business and the inevitable 'deaths of dispair'.

I'm sure herd mentality is the same for cohorts like world leaders. Love him or hate him, but Trump is one of the few who can signal an end to all this. But realistically, he will have to wait for public perception to start to turn.

Sooner the better, I say.

You will be hard pressed to find a better, more accurate resource than this one.

Why should you watch it?

For starters its all based on hard statistics and facts, sadly the regular news companies don't like to report this which you can see evidence of in here.

Yes its a long video, but to be honest I get to the end and I'm on the edge of my seat. It really is scary when you watch this and then look at what mainstream media are reporting.

Do yourself and your families a favour and check it out!

Heads up for those planning to run YouTube campaigns, it took me 4 business days to get a bunch of new campaigns reviewed, they're short staffed at google due to the beer flu.

Average CPV are mightyyy fine right now though:

LOL Solid preparation for the isolation going on I see

A lot of people are posting this

Is it still confirmed that this is just an advance on the tax returns?

A friend just told me to apply for the forgivable $10k-$2MM SBA loan

I banned myself for a few days just to get away from the nonsense. Changed my password to a random password I didn't even know and also host blocked the domain.

But I came back since it's the weekend and I had some time to kill. Prob will ban and block myself again when Monday comes to get work done...

Is it still confirmed that this is just an advance on the tax returns?

This is a new credit, so it's new money. It's still an advanced of the credit. If you should have gotten more, you will get more next year of the difference. It's basically free money.

I don't truly consider it free money since it has to be made up somewhere.. like a tax hike later on down the road. Someone has to pay for this somewhere.

HOWEVER, This was my whole point about putting blind faith into "authority" figures we make up in our head. Invisible scripts we all follow and accept without questioning.

I talked to 2 different tax professionals about this when I made my first comment about this stimulus check.

People I regular use day to day, know my business, and I pay. Of note, these are 2 people I ended up with after being with 30 different tax professionals over 12 years which includes tax attorneys who are former IRS. These aren't random people I picked who don't know me, they are narrowed and filtered from some of the top people I have worked with.

Both of them told me, this would be money I would need to pay back later in next years filing. That I would be out money I would normally have. That it's not new money. That it was an advancment of my 2020 refund.

Giving them the benefit of the doubt though, the tax code has been rewritten and amended several times since they originally got their information.

So were they right to begin with, when "their authorities" told them? That's a topic for later.

But still, these people themselves should be authorities right? They have degrees, they are paid for what they do, this is the business they do, they have decades of experience, etc.. and they worked off the direct information the government handed out at the time it was given with vaguely worded information that wasn't clear to begin with anyways and got amended. That the government later has gone back and forth on causing mis-information themselves. Information the "authorities" themselves use and blindly believe in and tell us which has to be changed later.

It's a trickle down impact.

And they were still wrong.

Why couldn't this same scenario happen to others? Like doctors, government officials, teachers, business leaders, etc. Everyone is going off information someone else gave them, higher up the ladder or before them.

Only people actively DOING know the answers for real.

This is what I have tried to go over and over in this thread but certain people really blew their shit without thinking.

A friend just told me to apply for the forgivable $10k-$2MM SBA loan

This program ( the EIDL ) itself will prob be good for most single employee self employed/contracted freelancers in our business. If you have no employees that are paid via payroll, PPP will not be a good fit for you. Even if you consider yourself an employee of your business but have no others ( or yours are out of the country ), but you don't pay yourself via payroll.. this will more than likely not work for you. PPP is pretty much out of the question for people like us, it will have to be EIDL if you take something ( or unemployment ). The EIDL is that $10k-$2MM SBA loan you are talking about.

Even though bench.co ( https://bench.co/blog/operations/paycheck-protection-program-self-employed/ ) and other places are writing content saying you can use your Sch C, I know 3 people who got denied doing that and were told FROM THE BANKS they can't use Sch C for owners and get paid, that it must be employee payroll. Other CPA's have also told me the same that you can't use it.

Many people would consider Bench.co an authority. All those people just got raped in false belief.

The PPP has been redone several times now and there is all kinds of info out there saying it can help everyone, and some say it can't. That you can take EIDL and PPP and that you can't, etc

I've spent days on reading the code myself and talking to more CPA's and tax attorneys. Things are getting amended up until the last minute. More bills are still coming. Even banks like CHASE weren't ready for this. Several people told me only BofA ( of major banks ) was the only major bank ready start of the day Friday for the start of PPP applications. I know for a fact CHASE wasn't because they didn't even understand it.

I was refreshing their page to see if they could give out a better picture of things. They basically said they knew jack shit and won't be ready the morning of the day the applications started for PPP ( Friday ).

If a major bank wasn't ready on start of day Friday to hand out these loans that the US government told them they needed to do because they couldn't even understand it, then other authority figures can be the same.. getting things wrong and not knowing the answers they need to, even when its their job and their industry and the information is printed and guaranteed by the US government.

Chase wasn't ready until after mid-day Friday. But many banks are still unclear.

Everyone is just going off someone else. People higher up or people before them. No questions.

Even when they do this, the information can be wrong or hard to comprehend or understand, or changed days and weeks later screwing it all up.

This is why I fact check for myself and stay on top of it, not putting blind faith into anything.

Only the DOERs know the answers, and sadly they can get it wrong too if they are given bad information... but at least they aren't in the same herd of sheep 100% of the time like 98% of the population who just trust their CPA, Chase Bank, local government, Bench.co, or any other deemed "authority" someone made up.

One of my other CPA sources is telling me ( just now ) the PPP rules have changed again and they will know more on Monday for PPP and independent contractors. Plus, I heard the amount is bigger too based on this change.

Bottomline, self employed CAN get credit for PPP with their earnings.

See how the information can change rapidly? See how one day its X, and the next day it's Y?

You won't have sources proactively telling you these things all the time. You have to be proactive and dig for yourself and pull it out. That's why the DOERs win over the ones that don't do and just listen to others.

The ones not digging are going to miss out, file incorrectly, or get skipped over when the budget caps run out.

I rather talk to real people that are experts in their field instead of going off of "trusted" news articles. I went to talk to my accountant today at his office and I can only go off what he has said. The $1200 check, depending on your taxes, will not be taxed next year. He also mentioned if you don't accept it then you'll get a $1200 credit next year towards your taxes. I want to talk to a couple friends that are also accountants to confirm. I think this is all new and everyone is still trying to get the correct information. Like I said, I can only go off of what my accountant told me.

It's no more amusing than your own blind faith in science, right?

These "tests" that no one can prove actually test for COVID-19. The fact the US government said most test used in the past worldwide have false negatives and false positives, etc.

You put blind faith in science, but who is controlling the purse strings at the top? You don't know and don't care because some authority said so. an authority you blindly believe.

The fact these tests produce false results means that all of the stats are false. If you work at a hospital and give 50 women pregnancy test and they all come back as a result, but later you find out the tests included false positives or negatives, you have to re-test all 50 women. But in this case, that didn't happen. So any info you have is actually junk now.

So much for science right?

At one point scientists told me we had a 9th planet named Pluto.

That the American continent was discovered by Christopher Columbus, or that y2k was going to end us all... so we were treated to an entire year of talking heads ranting on about doomsday scenarios, including a world where airplanes would drop out of the sky and banks would register your portfolio value as zero.

Yeah, scientists don't get it right either. So why put your blind faith into it?

Unless you are there and see it and feel it for yourself, you are just as blind as anyone you point your own finger at. You bought into a system where you shortcut and blindly accept whatever you deem an authority.

That's no more crazy as someone that drinks tea leaves to cure COVID-19.

Everyone is so quick to talk about things they actually themselves DO NOT KNOW and put their trust into another human that tells them so they think is an authority. What if that other person was Bernie Madoff?

People love to tout science as a true source, but they forget all science got wrong or skewed.

Oh well.

My point is whatever info you get is from another human. Humans make mistakes and can be influenced by other humans. Humans are easily sheep like in behavior. Anything someone tells me, I have to remember could be on some agenda or skewed or changed later ( like Pluto ). This includes "scientists".

When you act like someone doesn't have a study to back their claims, you dismiss that the study you hold so dearly itself could have been flawed or influenced too.

This right here deserves a slow clap

Wow, @Jared saying people "overestimated" in a COVID19 update post is the single most positive thing I've heard in a quite a while! I dread click this thread each time I log in because I knew there'd be some new horrible stat to share, and now, today of all the glorious days in the year, a bit of (relatively speaking) positive news!

...and this, just when I was going to share an article I found particularly depressing, explaining how the "flatten the curve" data models being widely disseminated by big publishers like New York Times and local governments, has in fact been very tactfully cut off to exclude the simple fact that no matter what, delay or not, a shit ton of people are going to die (minus treatment options, which could very well become available very soon) . This is the cold yet honest article I'm referring to: https://medium.com/@wpegden/a-call-to-honesty-in-pandemic-modeling-5c156686a64b

But if there's nothing we can do about it besides what we're already doing (distancing, face masking, washing our hands until they fucking crack and bleed, wear condoms with Tinder randos, skinning our apples before we eat them, dusting our plant leafs, and only using our clean finger to pick our noses) then "vivre et laisser mourir" as Google says the French would say...

Personally I'm making this quarantine my bitch. Thanks to @JamaicanMoose for some much needed inspiration I'm publishing content like it's going out of style.

Since the gym is closed I've also "taken up" running. I fucking hate running. But here we are and I figure I might as well get my body fat % down and my cardiovascular endurance up so that when I do eventually hit the gym again everything will be lean gains.

Likewise, since I'm forced to be home, and I am lucky enough to have internet and a computer, might as well balls to the walls my sites so that one day, sometime in the future, when things return to "normal", hopefully I'll have a higher monthly affiliate check to play with.

Anyways, bit of a ramble, but just wanted to share how this forum, while it will have its occasional barbs, is still a beautiful thing in it's ability to motivate and for that I am thankful.

You all ain't even ready for this one...

My son is in the Army, stationed in Poland atm.

Someone in his unit he is friends with told him yesterday that he has the corona virus.

My son was pretty nervous to say the least. He talked to him more about it and ended up asking things like how he felt, where he thought he got it, how the test went, etc.

The other guy said, "The doctor didn't want to test me, said it would be a waste of a test".

No one else in his unit has it AND these people haven't been allowed to go into Poland, visit, do work, or anything for 4 weeks now because of the "pandemic". So why would this test have been a waste? They haven't been allowed to do or go anywhere for longer than the incubation period.

WTF, yeah..... That is what is going on here and in other countries folks.

Yeah.. just more proof of what I have been saying all along in this thread about blind trust in authority. This PFC blindly trust his doctor, the doctor blindly trust whoever is speaking into his ear, etc.

This guy has corona but no test was given. Not because the test isn't available, but because they didn't want to waste one. So how does anyone know he really has COVID-19 if no test are getting implemented?

And with that, I'm going on self ban again for the next week until Saturday so I can put in work. See you all next weekend.
