I'm curious, how many BuSos have taken a Myers Briggs or similar personality test? I'm curious, and I can't help but think a lot of us must be fairly similar. I've taken it several times, always INTP. N and T are very strong, the I and P are both moderate.

Here's a link if you've never taken before, its not the 500 question military grade, but its pretty accurate.

Interesting stuff. I agree with 90% of what's stated in the personality breakdown

I've always been a skeptic about "tests," sometimes lumping it into the basket of fortune telling. However, I have genuinely been able to lean more about myself through these. They are particularly helpful in group settings / relationships / romantic relationships. I know in the past the army has required divisions/groups to take the Meyers Briggs as a group and share.

Thanks for taking it and sharing  I don't remember what my "-X" was, but that makes two of us intps.

Another Intp-A here. It was quite fun doing on for real and just clicking whatever dysfunctional answer was true instead of the usual game you play to score the correct features for the job :D

For any of you ever jobseeking do a bit of practice with free online ones - these tests are pretty easy to manipulate - if you know in advance, as you often do for an internal position, what the metrics and traits HR think is 'optimal' - or you can make a reasoned guess - you can make them come out to fit pretty close.

The trick in case it's not obvious is that the answers all clearly fall into buckets and you can vary how far 'over' into one bucket you are just by hitting both sides with the right balance. Of course some tests mix the buckets so you have to be careful to keep a running count

All good fun. Here are my results below. I can agree with most of it. Some things like overanalysing feelings etc were particularly true when I was younger, however, I'm aware of it and I don't get caught up in that spiral.

One thing I may disagree with is, whilst I'm more than comfortable in a crowd, I would say I need time alone to recharge.

YOUR PERSONALITY TYPE IS:
PROTAGONIST (ENFJ-A)
ENFJ PERSONALITY (“THE PROTAGONIST”)
Everything you do right now ripples outward and affects everyone. Your posture can shine your heart or transmit anxiety. Your breath can radiate love or muddy the room in depression. Your glance can awaken joy. Your words can inspire freedom. Your every act can open hearts and minds.

David Deida
ENFJs are natural-born leaders, full of passion and charisma. Forming around two percent of the population, they are oftentimes our politicians, our coaches and our teachers, reaching out and inspiring others to achieve and to do good in the world. With a natural confidence that begets influence, ENFJs take a great deal of pride and joy in guiding others to work together to improve themselves and their community.

Firm Believers in the People
People are drawn to strong personalities, and ENFJs radiate authenticity, concern and altruism, unafraid to stand up and speak when they feel something needs to be said. They find it natural and easy to communicate with others, especially in person, and their Intuitive (N) trait helps people with the ENFJ personality type to reach every mind, be it through facts and logic or raw emotion. ENFJs easily see people’s motivations and seemingly disconnected events, and are able to bring these ideas together and communicate them as a common goal with an eloquence that is nothing short of mesmerizing.

The interest ENFJs have in others is genuine, almost to a fault – when they believe in someone, they can become too involved in the other person’s problems, place too much trust in them. Luckily, this trust tends to be a self-fulfilling prophecy, as ENFJs’ altruism and authenticity inspire those they care about to become better themselves. But if they aren’t careful, they can overextend their optimism, sometimes pushing others further than they’re ready or willing to go.

ENFJs are vulnerable to another snare as well: they have a tremendous capacity for reflecting on and analyzing their own feelings, but if they get too caught up in another person’s plight, they can develop a sort of emotional hypochondria, seeing other people’s problems in themselves, trying to fix something in themselves that isn’t wrong. If they get to a point where they are held back by limitations someone else is experiencing, it can hinder ENFJs’ ability to see past the dilemma and be of any help at all. When this happens, it’s important for ENFJs to pull back and use that self-reflection to distinguish between what they really feel, and what is a separate issue that needs to be looked at from another perspective.

...The Struggle Ought Not to Deter Us From the Support of a Cause We Believe to Be Just
ENFJs are genuine, caring people who talk the talk and walk the walk, and nothing makes them happier than leading the charge, uniting and motivating their team with infectious enthusiasm.
People with the ENFJ personality type are passionate altruists, sometimes even to a fault, and they are unlikely to be afraid to take the slings and arrows while standing up for the people and ideas they believe in. It is no wonder that many famous ENFJs are US Presidents – this personality type wants to lead the way to a brighter future, whether it’s by leading a nation to prosperity, or leading their little league softball team to a hard-fought victory.

So I'm an assertive introvert, basically. I wonder how much I can be biased as to my own perception of myself?

Reading the write up on that, it reads like a horoscope. I don't see how anyone couldn't identify with a lot of it.

I'd probably agree with this title..

In my opinion though (and from taking tests like these previously) it can be very difficult to answer these sort of questions honestly.. When you don't truly know. No one really knows who they are, and different questions would field different responses in different situations. I also know for a fact, 5 or 10 years ago I would of answered these very differently but experiences change your personality too.

I'm definitely not an introvert though.. I can't stand being on my own for more than a day or so - It's the main reason I can't travel alone or move to a different, sunnier destination because I wouldn't have that support.

Another ISTJ-A checking in.

I know that there's always a bit of 'woo' with these things, however, when I read this...
...For It Is Better to Be Alone Than in Bad Company

I had to laugh as it's one of the 7 reasons gave when I quit the 9/5.

Holy Shit guys, This is Content Engagement at it's best. That whole website is a masterpiece on interactive javascript + engaging content. The visuals were well thought out and it's a huge hit.

There is even a ton of additional content when you click the "Start Reading". In mine, it has characters at the bottom of people of this world that are INTP-T:

The pageviews and engagement metrics must be through the roof:

Someone needs to do a write up on this whole website:

Pretty nice execution. So simple yet so engaging. No wonder it has been shared over 800k times. And like @CCarter already mentioned, the CR for the Premium Profiles should be bangin'

I'll get to work on a YouTube case study.

Interesting you are an introverted version of me, or am I an extroverted version of you?

I feel so validated for so many reasons right now.

Hmm, interesting results here. I'd say it's mostly accurate. Agree with @Calamari , it does read a bit like a Horoscope or some kind of Cold Reading (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cold_reading) thing. The tech and implementation of the site is very impressive, to say the least.

Even if it is Cold Reading, what I find really interesting, is that like 80% of those who published their answers fall into Analyst category.

INTP-A . Yes website is well done, a lot to learn from.
