Looking for high volume whois lookup API

Good morning friends,

I need a good API for whois checks. Between 2 and 5 million requests per month where I only need 'registered on' and 'updated on' dates as result.

Apilayer sends back a lot of 404 results and is very unstable to use.
WhoisXML is too expensive.

Any good alternatives?

What type of domain TLDs are they mostly composed of? .com? Or will they be a majority of country versus like .co.uk?
 
These guys have pretty great pricing, very cheap: Online Whois lookup

For a 1,000,000 domains you are looking at 0.46 per 1,000 domain requests, so about $460 for a million requests. It's not a monthly subscription, it's a pay as you go scenario.

You can tell from the website these guys have been around for a LONG TIME.

They seem stable enough when I've used them but I've not been at the 5 mil volume.
