How much are people paying for guest posting content?
My local writer costs me £70 per article, which I have no problem with and would happily pay double if not triple that for content that is going to be used on my site.
Although, with guest posting, I feel hesitant to spend the same amount...
Thanks for the insight.
I plan on launching an outreach campaign soon. One thing I've been struggling to understand is the incentive for these sites to respond to that outreach and post a guest article on their website. Is the free content enough of an incentive? Do they often try to charge...
I know that any good SEO strategy has a focus on building momentum, through content for example, that generates organic links passively.
With that being said, it seems like a huge part of the game is in buying links, placements and traffic in order to generate that exposure and momentum in the...
I operated on .co for a few years. As of last week, I finally had the opportunity to acquire the .com for 5 figures and snatched it up straight away. It was a no brainer.
Impression - Having the .com domain makes us look more solid and established as a company, which will resonate through all...
Beambox has had good traction over the last year and a half, building up a customer base in the U.K in excess of 200 businesses. We've been running some PPC trials in the U.S and have had great feedback and some early signs that this would be a good market to pursue.
From my research, it seems...
I couldn't agree more with everything you have said. It was my mission from the get-go to stay lean and equity rich, so that down the line I could leverage investment more effectively. But there's a difference between being lean and under-staffed. We are under-staffed.
The main issue I had was...
I run getbeambox.com - We already have 70 customers and an 80% upgrade rate. Our full plan charges @ £37.50 and we connect over a thousand people to the internet every week. The product is a hotspot solution which taps into a businesses (cafe/bar/pub) existing traffic to harvest marketable data...
I've always seen Reddit as a great environment for speech recognition and machine learning. There's millions of comments and linked responses about every subject and in every context. If you could collect all of this data, string normalize to floating point and use karma as a relevance weight...
I agree on the co-working idea. They're cost effective and some of them are awesome. Mayfair, London has some excellent ones and most have private desks you can rent as well. It'd be a great mix. + free coffee and shit.
Way better option than going the serviced office or leased route.
Hi bros,
So I made a sale for Beambox through my twitter profile the other week: www.twitter.com/beamboxuk
I was surprised because I haven't put an awful lot of effort into the twitter page and didn't expect it to be driving leads for a long time. It exceeded my expectations, so there's...
This is definitely in the pipeline. Initially it will probably be quite a manual process, if it works out then I'll probably integrate an affiliate system. I want to make sure it's not open house though, so that I have the right affiliates and can give them generous commissions.
Foursquare...
Absolutely huge thanks to everyone who's posted. I've researched every single idea that's been dropped on this thread and I'm unbelievably excited to start selling this. Built a data scraper last night and have telephones, owner names, addresses and websites of 1500 restaurants in my area, time...
I've been working on this for the past 6 months, an innovative product with a SaaS attached to it. Projects like this always start with an overwhelming excitement, the exploration of limitless paths and the thrill of creation attached to it.
The problem is that after 6 months of thinking about...
In essence, the internet is still free so I'm not sure where you are getting that from. The video advertisements could be considered a time expense but that was a rather extreme example of monetization. Something subtle that doesn't tarnish the experience could very easily be implemented, it's...
Good point with the server.
It was just something to explore really, if I could launch a local advertising network then 800 unique visitors would be very valuable because they are geographically relevant and likely to be highly converting.
I know that facebook have just launched a wifi system...
More than anything I'm trying to find a way I can monetize without annoying them. Though, promoting menu items wouldn't work as the menu is right in front of them.
One idea I had was to set up a network locally so that businesses can buy advertising. For example, a local amusement park might...
