I don't think I do this. Most of what I do is pick a basket of keywords that is "led" by a captain (the one I'd prefer to rank for over all else). What I notice is that I rank for longtails immediately, those pull traffic and give signals for mid tails, and then eventually I get the 'head term'...
Thanks, sir. I am testing AdThrive later this month to see if I can beat my current stack. I think a $10RPM will be attainable
I have never followed AH, just used as a supplement. I'm friends w/ the guys who made it so always admire and appreciate their work.
From the buyer's perspective, @Ryuzaki is correct. Dont' try to make it look better than it is, but see the entirety of the site's potential and sell them on that to get the highest multiple you can get.
I'd be careful about setting a quantity goal in a quantity of days. Videos follow power law, best ones do 100-200x more views than worst. I'd focus on making less videos, but way better.
I would never do YT to monetize solely off of ads unless I already had a nice income stream / job elsewhere, or 100% didn't give a fuck about how much I'd make and wanted to do it purely for the love of it. Just my 2c as someone who does earn a bit from YT.
Will be testing this: https://adsense.googleblog.com/2017/07/introducing-adsense-native-ads.html?__s=zjfb5ve2kbxjr36of8xc
Excited and curious as to how it'll affect my in-article ad revenue. Also opportunity to add to in-feed, as I don't currently monetize that well.
I take a different line than most in this thread. The ad-based model for free content is fundamentally broken from an incentives perspective, and it's only a matter of time before the Internet will change as a result. In a big way.
Think of the Internet's inception to now as V1 of monetization...
Just set it up. I was signed up for both other programs, but hadn't bothered dealing with it because the expected monthly gain wasn't worth the time investment relative to other things.
We'll see how it does. I'll use this over > * non-Amazon product though, just from a risk perspective.
