I went the no job route and lived on very little - this was partly because I wanted to be home and be a full time mother as well though. However not sure I would be where I am now if I had a job - took me long enough to make progress when I first started as it was. The money I would have made...
You can waste a lot of time helping people who clearly are not going to be able to hack it on many levels already mentioned here. I can't even hack the lows some times but I know full well the people in my family who couldn't hack them or give up certain things that I have had to in order to do...
One of my newer sites tanked in March due to the google update - I have spent most of the year trying to bring it back to life and only just seeing proper signs now with an upturn in ranking - still a long way to go.
As a result, I paid more attention to paid advertising as I had some success...
This has finally been sorted now. It was actually 4 grand missing over Jan and Feb. They paid me today.
It was basically a case of the company not having anyone doing that particular job for 2 years and suddenyl going into panic mode in December when they realised how affiliate cookies work...
Well I tweaked one page and that was the only one that had movement - or significant movement. I tweaked some others yesterday and today checking they have started to move as well - going to keep doing that see what happens.
Definitely made me feel a bit more in control of the situation.
I have sort of solved what was wrong with my site. I followed a free pdf on on-page seo on one of my pages - made some changes. This page was ranking on page 4 for its keyword (on page 1 before hit by the update) - I checked it today - 2 days later and it is now on page 1 :D
This happened to...
It is dependent on where traffic is from. For social and referral traffic the bounce rate is 50% and time on site is 3 mins average.
I am not 100% sure how accurate the other traffic is because I do have a problem with phantom traffic/spam traffic showing up in my analytics. (Any tips for...
Not yet unfortunately. I have had no responses..but I am guessing because of the weekend...so hopefully I will get one soon. Otherwise going to have to chase.
From my own digging and looking at stats...for me...there is nothing to suggest I have suddenly got extra clicks etc. and nothing looks...
So...I am feeling a bit sick right now. I sorta knew something was coming when over 5 grand just sat in webgains and I wasn't getting paid. As well as the fact Jan was a really low month for this particular campaign - which didn't seem right when it has been consistent for 2 years+
Well they...
I don't know if this is right but I will tend to use the entire content but add helpful subheadings for those who want to scan read or highlight certain bits as well. If someone has written lots and it sounds like they know what they are talking about I think that is something to keep and put on...
The site isn't a year old yet but it was making over £1000 (the last two months before that it has doubled in income every month - set it up in July, starting proper work in August). I have put a lot of effort into the site. It's not my only site but it is the one I have put the most effort in...
No i don't think it was just a dance. It hasn't improved anymore. It is still down by a lot of traffic..it just recovered slightly it would seem.
Seems like some people are experiencing up and downness still. I must admit I feel like I am back to square one with this site.
I have quite a few pages still on page one - they haven't moved. These aren't easy easy keywords either. I had a few that were very easy keywords to rank for - in fact ranked on page one after a day of publishing - they are gone now to 3 and beyond. I am wondering if there maybe an issue with...
I got hit by this on my new site which I started last August. On the 7th I had just shy of 500 visitors and that was the normal for the site - it has been slowly increasing month on month. On the 8th and 9th March I had 400 on each day, 10th I had closer to 300, 11th was 250, 12th was 150 and...
The money for links isn't a problem at all. It's whether you should pay for them. I have paid for a few but I cam eacross an interesting perspective from an SEO company (I think) about why they don't pay for links and why they feel that for every link/guest post is bought, is another hit...
Has anyone successfully outsourced link building?
I hired someone last year and so far they have managed to successfully bring in about 25 links over a few months. They work part time for me. I find the biggest problem they have is people wanting money for links and a few times, some of the...
