Introductions Thread

Hey mate,
Another Aussie here. I'm in Armidale, 6 hrs north of Sydney but I'm often down there.

Good to have you on board

Hi Everyone,
My name is Cary and I'm from the beautiful Gold Coast in Australia.
I've been in sales all of my life selling physical products, Fire Trucks, Construction Equipment, Cranes, RV's, Cars, pallets of coffee makers etc....basically anything I could get my hands on. I absolutely loved it. For me it was about the deal, and not the money. The money would be there as a by product of course.
Seeing now that the world is moving into a "New" paradigm, I thought it best to shift gears, and adapt or be left behind.
I've been doing some seo since last year, and I've been moving much deeper into it as we speak. Still a newbie....
One of the main reasons for joining this group is because of Charles Floate. I really admire his moral, ethical, and business practices from what I've seen of his posts on fb. They say that "Your vibe attracts your tribe". Well if that's true then I believe that I'm in a group of like minded thinkers as Charles is, and that is important to me especially when you see what's going on in today's world.
I want to say in advance, thanks for your patience with me if I ask a question, and don't get it on the first try. I will get it.......
Anyway, at 60 years young, who say's that you can't teach an old dog new tricks?

Age is merely a number. I taught my 80+ year old, english-second-language speaking grandfather to use a computer. Now he's poking bitches on Facebook

Another Aussie here from Melbourne. Welcome aboard, Cary

haha, the Aussies are killing it on BuSo at the moment.

I'm from Armidale (5 hrs south and inland from the Gold Coast).

Good to have you on board.

Thanks Michael. Are there any more Aussies here?

Hi Everyone,

I'm from Cape Town, South Africa. Im a software developer by profession and I've built and bought numerous internet properties over the last 7 years. I've learnt and am still learning (don't think it ever stops ) all the marketing, business etc knowledge that goes with it.

I'm very happy to have stumbled upon BuSo - its great to finally find a group of people that have similar goals as I do and even more exciting to be able to read the stories and experiences of those individuals who've reached their goals!

My main site is in the Employment niche - currently earning using just ads. I'm quite close to finishing a rewrite that will change the business model and I'm hoping to get some tips from you guys.

I'm Karl and my new years resolution is to become the Ultimate Hustler, I lack self-confidence but I can rank a lot of markets. My goal is to get enough passive income from hustling(services and affsites(creditiblity)) so I can finally start working fulltime for myself.

Welcome on board, Tom.

I signed up for Becker's email list a while back and it's been a pleasure to watch how he works the list and funnel to death. Very Frank Kern-ish.

Being involved in the community is worth its weight in gold if you can keep control of your own habits. The connections, word of mouth recommendations, and insight has pushed me to levels I'd still be trying to attain if I was on my own.

Glad to have you around to add to all of our success and yours.

Welcome, Karl.

If you want your income to snowball to the point you can actually depend on it, play it safe with the rankings. Keep it clean and stay away from anything that could come back to bite you in a month or year.

Also, I'd say to not focus exclusively on SEO. Although SEO is a huge part of the discussion here, most of us deal in every aspect of online business. Not dealing with other forms of marketing is leaving tons of money on the table as you twiddle your thumbs waiting on Google to prefer your site over someone else's working just as hard on it.

Glad to have you around and can't wait to learn from your experiences and share whatever I can with you as well.

Hi there,

I would just like to introduce myself to Builder Society!

I am a 21 UK college graduate who has been in the affiliate business for about 1 year - I learnt everything from scratch and everything on forums/youtube/facebook groups.

Since then I have built up 4 websites and just by on-page SEO so far I have turned over $10k in revenue and $4k of that last month. My main site is seeing a weekly traffic growth of 20%, in october it made $10, november $150, december $800, and this month it is on target for over $1500.

I am looking at builder society to help me build my portfolio successfully to over $1000 a day by the age of 22.

I know its ambitious but why not aim high, right?!

Welcome to BuSo! You've come to the right place. There are veterans here earning that much, and plenty of others journeying. Or, I guess I should say building.

just by on-page SEO

Now that is seriously awesome. I imagine you did some pretty good keyword research in addition to the on-page? Would love to hear more about your process.

Yep I have little to no experience with link building but I think that could take me to the next level. The research is the most important part to this whole process I believe, it's all about what avenues are worth pursuing and which ones are better left untouched.

I rank #2 for a 5k/month keyword with a 3 month old site and no manual link building done. On page SEO really is that key! I am now getting 2k views a day, with over 1k views a day coming from just one article.

Research about the topic is just about as important as the keyword research - I believe if I am educating/advising someone on a niche, I really need to know everything about it and provide genuine advise that so many affiliate sites just don't provide.

Welcome James! Pretty exciting movement you've seen. I'd love to follow along with a journal if you decide to make one.

Hi Animal - I will consider doing one on here for sure! In fact a few days ago I set up a instagram page to follow my journey on a day-to-day basis showing my earnings and traffic growth.

I'm not here to promote anything like that but if anyone is interested by all means check it out - just funny you mentioned it!

Pretty cool, I was thinking of setting up a blog to track my progress. This idea is awesome too

Thank you! I just thought I see alot of posts on forums about journeys and its great fun reading some of them - but rarely see any of these outside the forums - who knows maybe some of us need to take them to the larger networks (fb/instagram) and a wider audience. Again, may not be popular but worth a shot plus it keeps me in check with my progress by having to track my earnings day-to-day and keep others motivated.
