Unfortunately, we can't hack time. Every moment we waste is another one lost. That's why it's important to set goals. Getting them out of our heads and into the realm of public accountability helps bring them into focus and summon the energy to conquer them.

August 2016​

What are your intentions this month? Did you manage to stay on track in July? Make sure you're prioritizing the high impact actions first!
 
My goals are very targeted and purposeful this month. I'm focusing only on my main project.

It'll be an insane amount of work but I'm going to try to have 12 total review pages published. I'm about to make the 5th one live today. That leaves 7 that I'm going to try to do in chunks. All of the first parts on all of them at once, then move to the next part. This might make things more efficient.

If I can manage, I'll try to get these posts some links too.

Also, in the gaps I want to try to hit at least one successfully huge traffic leak. I have two posts in mind to write that have potential. If one of them pops I'll be happy.

These review posts are the big deal though. When these are done, I'm on the fast track to increasing revenue like mad!
 
Wanted to leave a comment for everyone this month.

"How you do anything, is how you do everything"

Mull on that for a moment. What can you change to improve yourself?
 
But first, a retrospective:
Main Project - SAAS Startup
1. Interview clients for new Press Release, reach out to newly gained contacts. (not completed, have to do two releases this month to make up for none last month)
2. Get article draft finished for guest post for big site in niche finished (done, waiting for response and editing)
3. Get new calculations for LTV done (done, with some surprising results)
4. Work on creating new buffer sites (done, looking forward to seeing results)

Side Project - Consulting/Copywriting (did not do as I did no receive a contract yet.)
1. Start developing Google Adwords and Retargeting Campaigns

Goals for August 2016
I got so high off of my SEO success in an extremely difficult niche that I rested on my laurels, and now I'm having some issues again. I am resolving to never let something so stupid happen ever again.

Main Project - SAAS Startup
1. Get two press releases done and released.
2. Work on html page to send out in advertising I'm doing with a large industry blog in my space.
3. Get some analytics set up to see how organic users convert and their path
4. Re-read SEO and Adwords books

Side Project II
1. Get a solid supplier set up for niche so I can calculate profit margins and expenses.
2. Once #1 is finished, start getting designs ready to test product sales on barnacle sites.
 
I'm just aiming to kill it, trying to hustle harder than before.

Site: Make $200 with Amazon
Bodybuilding: Keep hitting my diet hard
 
+ $100M in my bank account.
+ Record content production month.
+ Just fucking do it!

3. Finish a consulting project.
4. Get 2 new videos online for SAAS #1.

  • Finalize selling agreement with Walmart
  • Work with SEO manager to build our offsite plan for new niche network

It's the end game now for August. Last 11 days, so 2/3 of the month is gone.

I nailed out 5 of them and began knocking out one thing here which led to another and another, all in the name of getting ready to scale with some writers. I'll have the last 2 done over the weekend.

I didn't but this will be the core activity for September.

I got a leak in... It wasn't HUGE but I'm happy with the additional 6k traffic if I remember correctly. I'll try again a couple times this month in between prepping for making gobs of money with Christmas sales.

I probably need to cancel #3. #1 and #2 are starting to become problematic. The Good news is movement with the SAASes is underway on both ends.
